Why make this build?
[*] This is an arena specific build
[*] This build is meant to be relevant at all stages of a round
[*] I am not a professional gamer. I'm just a pleb makin build guides, my dudes.
Item Choices
[*] Sands of Time
- If I don't have MP5 out of the gate, I spend too much early game time marathoning back from the fountain
[*] Book of Thoth
- I hate building stacks in arena but The Morrigan's 2 is good for it. If the payoff when this evolves wasn't so big I'd skip it.
[*] Chronos' Pendant
- This is probably the backbone of this build. This turns abilities from burst mode to full auto
[*] Charon's Coin
- By this point, I'm usually getting assists regularly and kills probably too, but the added penetration suddenly makes that 1 and 2 hit much harder and evolving it makes you a monster. This is another one of those "I hate stacks" items but this takes much less focus to build than BoT and again the payoff is worth it
[*] Spear of Desolation
- Just stats
[*] Soul Reaver
- The mage's Qin's Sai's, by end game everyone is high enough level that most will have enough HP that the passive is maximum effectiveness and hits everyone hard
[*] Aegis shield
- Useful to thwart cross map abilities like Neith or Nu Wa while retreating. Saves me more often than beads
How-to
**I am not the best Morry**
- In Arena I play early game The Morrigan like a shortstop while I build the stupid stacks for the stupid BoT.
- If you dont use her 3 ridiculously - having her run like a bot right at people - You can get the opposition to waste their abilities.
**The 3 is especially useful when Thor or Thanatos or any other "death from above" gods take flight. Duck behind a pillar, leave your 3 there like you're hiding and get out of the AOE.**
- sling the 2 every time it pops
- Watch for your teammates to be falling back. Popping a 3 and getting the 1 prepped can get you in position to either stun and peel a pursuer off your team or completely turn the tide if your teammate turns and fights.
- Find a god with abilities you can use and get the 4 ready to go before you need it
Biggest Tip
*****I only play The Morrigan when I have a teammate playing a god I know. Expanding my knowledge of other gods abilities has made me progressively better with her 4 ability as well.*****
This is all based off my personal experience.
Your K/D or Fun/Min may vary
Have fun and tell me why its awesome or sucks
Cheers

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
SMITEFire is the place to find the perfect build guide to take your game to the next level. Learn how to play a new god, or fine tune your favorite SMITE gods’s build and strategy.
