Due to Thoth's level 1 being awful, you will have to rely on your jungler somewhat for waveclear, and take care not to attract damage from minions to avoid yourself getting first blooded. Play Thoth safely from a distance using his glyph wall and abilities for long ranged safe poke damage, during teamfights evaluate whether its safe to use your escape stun to set up kills for teammates or to save them.
I also believe Soul Stone applies to Thoth's Glyph wall, making it a decent starter on him, though Sands of Time (Maybe even Bumbas too) can massively help with early sustain.
On a final note, due to Thoth's passive giving him Flat penetration, which at max stacks reaches a total amount of 20, make sure any Magical Penetration you have from items does not go over 30, as you will overcap your Magical Penetration (Cap is 50), his passive also means Thoth is not as reliant on flat pen items as much as other Mages, and you can use his passive along with penetration items to cap the penetration limit, this means in some cases you can get Spear of The Magus instead of Obsidian Shard (though I would only recommend this with very high cooldown reduction to apply the passive from Magus often).
I hope you find one of these builds useful.
Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
