Go 3 health potions and 2 multi potions. Pop your shard when you think you can land a kill.
With this build, you will have 730 power with 45 flat pen (With Thoth's passive) and 40% pen. You will deal true damage to anyone who has 75 magical protections or lower. Before buffs, your fully charged ultimate through your 3 wall will deal 1571 damage, which is around 3/4 of a squishy's health. With buffs, you will probably be able to one shot a squishy. You will deal true damage to anyone with no magical defense items. Even if they have a Gauntlet of Thebes buff, you will still do true damage because they will have 72.5 protections. A full 325 magical protections tank will only have 150 protections against you. They will take 40% of your damage instead of 23.5% A 200 magical protections tank will only have 75 magical protections against you. They will take 57% of your damage instead of 33%. A squishy will take 100% of your damage instead of 61.5%. That is a 40% increase in damage which is nuts. The Spear Of Desolation passive will dramatically reduce your normal cooldowns and your ultimate in a team fight. The way you should play with this build to get the most damage out of the item passives is to initiate a group fight by full ulting the squishies and then dashing in to finish them off. You will get your abilities back very fast from Spear of Desolation so you can keep going, you will deal more damage to the already ulted enemies thanks to both Rod of Tahuti and Staff of Myrddin. After the squishies are eliminated, move onto the tanks to finish them off. Ult the squishes, dash in and him them with the punish part of the dash, then use your 1 on them if any are left alive, then move onto the tanks. This method has worked very well for me. All you have to do is be able to land every ability you throw out and you will be the scariest god on the battleground.

It can be hard to get hits with the window against other players a lot of the time, but it does give you extended range to poke with. Also, getting a big damage hitter AND a stun after completing your dash is huge, whether advancing or retreating. I like Charon's in the first spot here because it can take a while to complete but once you do you get 8% movement - would love to work more movement into any build. I tried a lot of ways to improve this build but it's really hard with the current mix of items available...
Don't forget to get your 500 and 3k potions at the end of the round.. Damage buff also does particularly well with his high magical power rating.
