This guide should help A LOT of people confused on how to use this amazing God in Smite!
First off, if you are playing Conquest, you are not going to be beast at the start. Xbalanque is a slow build and very dependent on items. Although he has awesome skills and helpful CC's (Darkest of Nights), he needs a lot of the items up above to be able to unleash his perfection.
The key is to max out your poison darts as fast as possible. With this maxed out, you do intense damage over time to the enemy if you can hit them with even one of the darts. They only do one damage over time effect to your target, but the initial damage the darts do, DOES stack. If you can get in close range when they are focused on something or someone else, that's preferable, but don't get yourself killed.
Once your poison darts are maxed out, you will want to max out your Rising Jaguar, while balancing it with your ultimate, Darkest of Nights. Use Rising Jaguar when you need to escape or after you have used poison darts (because it does extra damage to poisoned players.)
Darkest of Nights is a GREAT ultimate as it not only helps you, but it helps your group as well. Many times you will find yourself in the shop healing up, or buying items and then seeing your team get ganked or ganking. You can use your ultimate from anywhere on the map, and it will blind your enemies, as well as stun them if they are moving. If you happen to be in the fight with them, it will also increase your range TREMENDOUSLY! Great tool for early and late in the game.
Last but not least is Branching Bola. As you can see, this is maxed out at the end. The reason for this is because it is a MAJOR mana dump. It is great for kill minions early game, but it is not viable to use as it will hinder the mana needed to escape with Rising Jaguar, or trolling with Poison Darts.
Follow the items list to a "T" and you will be owning late game. It will allow you to almost 3-5 shot enemies with little to no work.
See you on the field, Good luck! ;)

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.

would just be a lot better with the things I have mentioned.
Thanks by the way for your service in the military, I really appreciate it.
I apologize if some of my material comes off as "lazy," but I just threw something up for everyone because there aren't many guides to Xbalanque and I thought it would help.
If you need proof of this build being a success, feel free to look at my record on Smite. Average kill of 16-17 and had numerous games in the mid 20's and even 30's.
However, I do appr3eciate the criticism.
I am fairly busy considering I'm in the military, but as I said previously, I just wanted to help some people out with the limited amount of information on Xbalanque in SmiteFire. I personally have made wonders with this build and it the skill lineup doesn't match up, my comment below shows what is priority with your skills.
