Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
SMITEFire is the place to find the perfect build guide to take your game to the next level. Learn how to play a new god, or fine tune your favorite SMITE gods’s build and strategy.

After all, look at LoL. Lucian and Jinx are the two top atm, and both are casters (taking into account Jinx maxes Zap first.)
What they do by holding in the left mouse button isn't what makes them great. But in any case, yeah. I can give my opinion in a little while, but for now, off to class!
Apollo is very light and mobile, he'll always be on the edge of a fight and is quite safe for a hunter. He will be focused on farm and light poking early, before being the splitpusher or damage dealer.
Artemis is extremely risky, and relies on proper positioning at all times. She pokes extremely well in the laning phase, and late game she is always next to her team while dealing ridiculous damage.
Anhur depends a LOT on the player skill, but he is a fearsome duelist thanks to his burst. Early game, he passively farms but can aggressively burst like a tank, and late game he is a unusually safe yet effective damage dealer who can act aggresive.
Neith is focused on zoning and sustaining throughout laning phase, but I'm not experienced with her.
Xbalanque focuses on poke and lane control during the laning phase, and late game he is extremely risky. He can deal insane amounts of area burst damage, unusual for an ADC, but he burns his escape to do so. His ultimate is utility oriented and can either be near useless or incredibly overpowered, depending on how you use it.
Lastly, Cupid is the mother of all aggressive lanes, always poking and sustaining, and his ultimate is a death sentence to any ADC with an escape. Late game, he becomes an adequate damage dealer with an amazing team ult.
Er, I can help with a light overlook.
Xbal has high burst early, good snowball potential, and great late game damage.
Anhur and Artemis both tie for the sheer damage they have late game, Anhur has more utility but Art does slightly more damage.
Neith is a bad hunter but she is good at things that hunters are not good at, like sustain and locking people down, as well as the best laning phase for hunters.
Ah Muzen Cab is like an odd mix, has good power, abilities, and sustain, but he is highly dependent on his hives for both basic attacks and mobility.
Apollo is THE splitpusher, also has a decent self buff and insane mobility.
Is that all of them?
Er, there's no guide to hunters, specifically, and I honestly think all of the hunter guides have no teamfight section. But if you look around, there are a few good ones, albiet lacking in gameplay: Razemage and BestMinionEver both have good Neith guides, and that's all I can think of, honestly.
I will give some tips. A hunter lives or dies by his support. If you have a **** support, you will have a much tougher time. This applies to both full scale teamfights and 2v2 duo lane skirmishes.
A hunter's job is to deal damage. A hunter cannot deal damage safely if he is out of position.
Pretend your support has a circle around him. Then put a circle around yourself. If those two circles ever separate, you are out of position and the support cannot help you if someone CCs you.
The circle for each support and hunter varies in both size and effectiveness.
