My fenrir guide when I started was really bad and I got positive backlash for it. What would make this website a better environment? Well I know this would take dedicated people that care for this website. Though what if some people were guide reviewers? Guides being unable to be published until the guide was tested for it's information. If the publisher truly cared, they would work with the reviewers to better their guide. I know I sure did.
Another problem people face is BB coding. They have the understanding of the game but have trouble learning the website. I faced similar issues when I started. Lucky for me the kind people here helped me learn the advanced techniques. I could easily post a video. Explaining and showing people how to properly code. It would be better then the examples we been showing the new comers. Anyways that's just my point of view on this. Take it the way you want to.
Seto is right though. We need more players on Smitefire who actually play Smite if we want good, current, up to date guides.
there are still a lot of members who make guides that play. but those guides aren't pretty good. On the help (FAQ mentoring etc.) we could use more players for sure

Wow not sure if you are serious but this is far to distracting :D
It isn't distracting imo. It shows the information in a very compact and neat way.
I always see people make a big problem of bbcoding. Or the opposite sometimes the bbcoding is so gorgeous that some people overlook how much faulty info the guide has.
when I review a guide I don't pay too much attention to the bbcoding (unless it's all flashy colour coding that my head hurts to much) except the double bracket and the icon codes. If they aren't there I recommend them to put them there so new players can see what the item does (because they can forget it fairly easy and then need to scroll up)
You should put some focus into tricks people can do with BBC. Joxuu is one good example, he presents the information in a very easily readable and clear way.
Here's a one good way he uses it.
