Simple commands can be used without coding them. For instance, select the text and press Ctrl i. As in, the Ctrl button and the i key at the same time. Same sort of short cuts work for bold text too.
That's pretty nifty, I'll use that in the future. Though on this damn laptop it will be useless because it randomly changes cursor/insert position as it pleases. -_-
