Just get better with games and you'll have more chances of getting good players in your team. And dont try to join a game at the last few seconds. Sometimes you get paired up in a bad game. Better to join early.

There, there pumpkin. Everything will be all right.

I think it is mostly new people who "insta-lock" and do all those bad, naughty sorts of things. It is just ignorance not ill will. Reporting people for this is not only pointless but also strikes me as despicable. That sort of mentality, one that is quick to punish anything it finds displeasing, so quick in fact it seems to actually relish the opportunity to punish, reminds me of my first grade parochial school teacher, Sister Mary Bloodforge whose zeal for bloodying the knuckles of six-year-olds at the slightest hint of provocation seemed fueled more by a private lust than a love of God. I'm joking, of course, but I do not blame the novice members of our lovely Smite community for being ignorant because HighRez has yet to provide good written or video introduction. There should be a comprehensive players reference guide. Frankly, that is something I find irritating, but I am not going to quit the game over it. They are busy people. They change stuff every week! I am sure they will get to it BECAUSE IT IS SO STUPID NOT TO!

As for the problem in question, I think there are things that could be done such as having three queue levels: one for novice to intermediate players, one for intermediate to strong players, one for strong players only. If you join the first level, then you know stuff like 3 insta-locked physicals is going to happen, so there won't be any reason to piss, moan, whine, stamp your feet like a baby, or quit the queue like a spoiled brat.

While I understand your irritation, I do not condone quitting the queue (obviously). For now that is the way things are. It is a FREE game. Even with all its flaws, it is freaking awesome, a real creative achievement. And you don't have to spend a dime to play it? Pinch me; I must be in heaven. So stop getting all diva when things don't go your way. I think what you could do in this situation is make the best of it. Assume the best, not the worst. Try to help the noobs instead of thinking the game is all about you right now. So you have a ****py game, so what? You know, sometimes such games turn out of be entertaining, where the noobs are more or less evenly balanced, and it becomes a challenge for the more experienced players to manage the noobs, make up for their lack of knowledge and skill, and be a hero. Ok, and sometimes it is just frustrating and really sucks, too. Then you surrender after 20 mins, go powder your nose, come back, cross your fingers or pray to Kali, and get into the next queue.
Smite is still a work in progress. I understand and appreciate that you raise the issue--I feel your pain--but let's be constructive, keep a sense of humor, and not get so butt hurt. (Note: idea for new active ability--Mitigate Butthurt) There is no justification for quitting the queue unless your house is on fire or you have a heart attack. Those are the only acceptable excuses...and not a mild coronary event, either. I am talking acute myocardinal infarction.

Offers you a hanky.

I think you would find a lot more quitters in the lobby, because there are those who want to protect their record. Even though only "master" games are ranked.

Wow where do i even start with this? I came to this forum to point a problem that i have with the games mechanics and in return i get some idiot who thinks he knows my habits in game despite having never met me before. I kept it out of the story because any intelligent reader would have no reason to believe anything i type anyway but screw it ill give you the truth anyway. The fact is i noticed this problem after dodging one que(and too this day its still been one) which disproves your theory that im just sitting there looking for every small reason to leave a game and thought i would discuss the issue. I don't see why that deserved a personal attack against me. If you want to discuss some of the points i made and present counter points go right ahead but if you attack me again i will report you.

It wasn't intended to be a personal attack. It was written in an over-the-top, tongue-in-cheek manner, and intended to be humorous. All rather bad habits of mine I must confess. I am heartily sorry you feel offended. If your threat to report me had the same intention as my comment, now that would have been hilarious, but unfortunately there is nothing in what you wrote to indicate that.

Let me respond to your concern more soberly. I understand your irritation. It is absolutely nonsense to report someone for dying too much, especially if it isn't obvious that they are doing so intentionally. Clearly, you were trying. Maybe they should have reported the other team for being better than your team. On the other hand, I do not think leaving the queue for the reasons you did was good. I am glad to hear you only did it once. Since I do not think your leaving was justifiable, I do not agree that the "punishment" or loss of favor was unfair. I do not think a change is necessary.

As I said above, it is a free game, and I think a great one. It is still a work in progress and so irritations are to be expected until better ways of doing things can be worked out. While I understand expressing your displeasure over this and why you felt frustrated, you seemed overly sore about it.

When people right things the tone in which they intend to say them is often lost, and that can easily lead to misunderstanding. Maybe I was hearing the wrong tone in what you wrote, just as you did not hear the tone of my comment above, which was chiding you as a friend. I said I understood how you felt. I even offer what I thought would be a solution. Until the problem is resolved there is nothing to to but buck up and ride it out gracefully.

Moreover, of all the people that read your post, I am probably the one that took it most seriously. After reading your thread, I wrote one of my own called "The Queue Solution." It is under in the General Topics discussion. It might prove to you that I heard you, took what you were saying as being part of a serious problem that I'd like to see solved.

Im sorry. I conflated that thread with another one I had written called The Noob Solution. This one is called The Queue of Tranquility. Feel free to read it and say whatever you like, safe in the knowledge that you shall not be reported!

Thanks for clearing that up for me Krispy i thought you where just some random troll trying to upset me but obviously i was wrong or you wouldn't have taken the time to write that. Sarcasm doesn't really translate that well into writing. It's not always apparent to the readers which is why i try to avoid useing it. You also to be under the impression that I dislike bad/inexperienced players but that couldn't be farther from the truth. I could have 4 teammates go 0 and 20 or jump in a lobby with 4 players who say they are new and be perfectly fine with that its people refuseing to communicate in a team game that i can't stand. If you just want to pick a random champion without a single care for team comp there are gamemodes for that its called aram and arena.

Oh and as a side note i wasn't aware that you also lost favor for dodging que as well. I thought you just get 30 minutes of deserter and 0% goodwill.

To the OP.

I wouldn't always assume 3 assassins is guaranteed to lose. I once played with Freya (despite HiRez making all gods into only 1 class, Freya is still an assassin) and Arachne while I rolled Loki, and we steamrolled the game.

Try basing this judgment more on lack of team coordination. If you cannot reason with your teammates about picking those gods, or they simply don't respond at all, then I'd say your desertion is justified.

Pizzargui, Drybear and Squiiddish recently posted vids called "Mage Rage" and "Assassin Passion." They played all mages in the first and owned. All assassins was not so easy, though they still won. The other team was not too far from turning it into "Assassin Bashin'". And I so wanted them to.

Anyway, 3 people autolocking assassins could very easily be friends experimenting or just horsing around. If they are skilled players the might well make it work.
