Just finished what was by far the oddest match ever. They actually had an Athena jungling. She had bumbas mask and everything. The Athena jungler said oh she's awesome at jungling and saying how good she is at it. They forfeited early due to just getting slaughtered. Our highest was a fed Ra at 15 while most people were around 11-13. I ended on Hun Batz at lvl 12 due to a bad start. The two lowest were on their team; a Guan Yu that kept on getting owned in outer lane at 9 and their super jungling Athena at 7.

He blamed his low level on having to go help out the lanes and not getting farm. I had to do the same thing yet still kept a high level.

So seriously, has anyone ever seen a good Athena jungler?

i have only seen it once in ranked. well our long lane fed very hard and it was a 10 min surrender. so not enough to actually make a valid verdict.

never forget dawngate and never forgive EA. Freia will hunt them for eternity.

Yes I have. It's odd, very true, but let's review pros and cons.
Cons:
Slow clear time. Even with good base damage on her Shield Wall, it takes long to fire off. And her basic attacks are paaaaainfully slow.
No damage - ganks rely on allies.
Able to be counter-jungled

Pros:
Well, imagine her ganks. They come in two varieties: A dash+Taunt, which is actually VERY devastating if she maxes taunt first for gank potential. This can be an easy double kill in duo lanes. Or, ulting on someone with a dash. Which is a SOLID base damage amount. This allows her to jungle ALL the time to make up for her clear time, and STILL be able to appear in lane at a moment's notice. Think Shen jungle.

Allows actual support. Your duo lane can have a Ra or Aphrodite, because she is a tank, and you don't need another. This is also a con, however, as you're missing a very bursty assassin.
Mobile - Dash and ult.

Basically, She's not bad, but you NEED the right team for her, ones that have the damage to support her ganks. Her global pressure is what makes it perfect, though. She can ult without worrying about her lane opponent rushing a tower - there is no lane opponent.

I play Athena jungle alot and she's really good at it, easy to get kills/assists with her ulti and taunt.

just go pure magic damage and your ulti and shield wall does crazy damage

usually start with bumbas + shoes lvl 1 > shoes of focus and then Gem of isolation for basic attack slow (awesome with her ranged basic after ability) and then polynomicon

Never had a negative K:D ratio when jungling her and at low levels she clears jungle creeps faster than Loki (just level your shield wall)
