Hello all,

I am closing in on another god, and I have taken an interest in two specific gods: Athena and Chronos.

I typically don't play tank, but Athena looks very fascinating with her ability to, essentially leash enemies and walk them around, pulling them into towers, abilities, and more! The only two tanks I have tried are Hades and Vulcan and have not been satisfied with them at all, but Athena seem like she might be my girl.

Chronos's middle name is "Mobility". I am all for mobility, probably being my favorite aspect in a god. Much unlike tanks, I am doing very good with mages, my favorite god being He Bro. I also own Agni (And aphro and Chang'e, if they are mages and not support in your eyes).

I have not tried either of these gods, nor are they on the rotation right now... Can anyone give me feedback about these gods and try to help me decide? T

Thanks.

Athena is a high-tier tank, she has good early game due to base numbers, bad middle game when it falls off, and amazing late game when her taunt can cause an instant death.

Chronos is definitely a hypercarry when stacking Magic Power and polynomicon. He's my favorite mage in the game.

If you are good with mages, definitely take chronos, but if you *need* a tank, athena is a good choice.

Thanks for the feedback Raventhor!

Chronos definitely sounds like a dominating mage with Polynomicon, the only thing that makes me hesitate is the lack of tanks I own. I like to own several of each role (as to be versatile), but Mage is my strong suit.

Thanks once again.

Anytime! Like I said, a common build on him is Boots/Demonic Grip/Polynomicon/Rod of Tahuti/Gem of Binding/X

And if you're looking for a main tank, Athena, Bacchus, and Sobek are the main 3, especially Sobek. He has a knockup, a fling, and a heal reducer (a built-in divine ruin), with an ult that provides a nice burst and CC immunity - effectively a movable, cancellable ymir ult.

Back on Chronos, his playstyle is much unlike other mages - think of him as the auto attack version of an agni. He needs to stun, and then rail them with Time Rifts and auto attacks, but his ult is interesting - it provides almost nothing but a free, better aegis, if played correctly. IMO, he has one of the highest skill caps, but if you get used to him, you should be laughing as you literally run circles around people. His only downside is Loki. He's squishy enough that loki can kill him before he can even ult.

Anyway, sorry for MORE paragraphs, but I hope you have fun! If you want any advice on him, check my guide ;)

Ehh, not a big fan of either to be honest. I do say that Athena is stronger, but that's like comparing apples to oranges.

Thanks a bunch for the advice Raventhor! Just bought Chronos an hour or two ago. He is great fun, really! Caffeine addict, seriously! Although I just got destroyed by a Loki in 1V1 Joust, it was still a great buy. I will be certain to check that guide of yours out.
