Right now I'm pretty much conflicted when it comes to what lifesteal item will be better for my ADCs and Sins. Or more specifically Neith and Mercury. I usually run them both Ninja Tabi to lower their cooldowns. Mainly to exploit their nice Ults.

So I'm pretty much lacking in the way of penetration. While Bloodforge gives me a lot more base lifesteal and straight damage; Asi gives me atk speed and much needed penetration.

Usual build for Neith not counting the life steal item is:

Ninja Tabi
Rage
Deathbringer
Jotunn's Wrath
Trancendence

I usually go max cdr to abuse her Ult to kill running lowbies and also to root squishies in team fights so my team can focus them.

Usual build for Mercury again not counting lifesteal is:

Ninja Tabi
Golden Bow
Rage
Deathbringer
Jotunn's Wrath

With him, I play mainly in Arena and use his Ult a lot to cause total chaos on the other team.

So any ideas or suggestions.

Asi is very very cheap. If you're using lifesteal for early game sustain, take Asi, as the attack speed also helps with last hitting.

Late game, however, lifesteal is commonly used to merge with your ridiculous auto attack damage for sustain, as you can easily bring yourself back to full. This is where Bloodforge shines, as the repeated chain of auto attacks will stack the passive quickly, and the damage is unparalleled.

IMO, I would always take Bloodforge. Especially on mercury, as his Made You Look applies on hit effects, stacking the passive. Only gods who have a specialty at low health should consider Asi, such as Sun Wukong ONLY early game, or Kali. Asi is kind of like in-between starter items ( Death's Toll) and ACTUAL items.

I get Asi on Anhur, though I can see it working on Neith.

Well, always get Asi in grab bag or cup runneth, learned that the hard way.

I was a mage, i think Chang'e with polynomicon, and i got into it with an anhur. I hit him with my 1-basic, which brought him down to 15-20% ish, and his first auto that landed on me brought him to 60%. It was so annoying.

Eh, that's not really Asi though, that's just lifesteal in general. Obviously the extra 25% lifesteal helps, but a fullstack bloodforge is just as good, and it actually has power.

I guess my biggest problem with Asi is that it has literally 0 power, meaning it doesn't help your skills AT ALL, especially your ult.

I think forge is good for those fast auto attackers while asi is for those who are slow.
