Ares skin looks kind of awkward but one thing I can say is his blue flames look pretty damn good.

I presume you mean Warhammer 40.000?

In any case, I don't think he looks that similar to a marine. His color scheme is similar to the Ultramarines chapter, but other than that he is just the wrong kind of bulky. I can see why people would say there's a difference though.

If smite gets more popular like LoL and Dota 2. Do you guys think they'll be like game referenced skins and voice packs?

Like Dota 2 is going to have a GLaDOS announcer pack soon.

Valve, the company that makes Portal, owns DotA. They can get away with this.

Besides, HiRez already has Tribes-themed skins for a few gods already.

Yeah, it was about for $20 dollars when it was on beta, but since it was out, (around 2-3 months ago) it is free

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
