Hello,

I just wanted to express a viewpoint about Smite and see if anyone feels the same way. You see, when I play smite, I feel very unrewarded when I am doing good, and the rewards I do get feel like just another way to earn more rewards. For example, getting gods. Okay, I buy gods, which I use to get more favor, which I use to get more gods... Or I could take a ridiculous amount of time to get a golden skin, and all that does is show stats. (At level 30, it would take approximately 15 days to get a golden skin, a little less than that actually).

Yes I know that favor is the alternate to buying gems, I understand that, but that's not my point either. I'm not saying "MAKE US GAIN FAVOR FASTER PLZ", I am just expressing that I feel quite unrewarded when I do well. I know the game is still in beta, and I understand that, upon release, it will be quite different.

I don't want more "Favor sinks", either, especially because the excitement of getting something new doesn't last long. Ok, I just bought a new god, you have loads of fun with it for a few matches, and then it's just another god.

I don't really have a better solution then to make rewards that feel like a true reward, not just another place to spend favor.

Is it just me, or are you guys feeling the same thing?

its not about the reward but about the fun you are having in the matches when you are ulting a 3 man gank as or killing some one in 1 second when you are a fed or getting first pentakill (im working on that one).

if you want a reward for your endefors go play an rpg those are made for rewarding.

buy the god pack if you are playing to stay because at level 30 getting favor is a b****.

never forget dawngate and never forgive EA. Freia will hunt them for eternity.

In regards to favor, I don't understand. I've only bought 3 Gods, but I play 2 of them all the time. So I don't feel the need to buy new Gods when I can. I think the game feels a bit unrewarding because you gain it so low, but at the same time when you can buy most things with favor instead of gems, it makes sense. Maybe you just haven't found a God you want to play all the time, yet.
As for the gold skins, I'm quite looking forward to being able to buy a gold skin for Athena or Chang'e because, while I probably won't use it because it's ugly (!) it will still show your stats and show that it's one of your favourite Gods.

I think you need a bigger reward for doing certain things because the game favor is very slow.

I have the god pack and I am level 30.
I have spent $150 on smite and favor I HAVE NO USE FOR FAVOR ALMOST.

You can't do much with favor other then buy gods and skins. When you buy the god pack your use for favor is even lower.

I play the game alot, and I mean alot lot.
It still takes me some time to get up to 15,000 and I spend all day on smite most of the time.

So I feel bad for people that cannot play hours on end like some of us, it is going to take a lifetime to get gods and skins if they do not buy the god packs.

I am not saying to make gods easy to get.

I am saying there should be at least more things to do with your favor and ways to increase your favor.

Like someone brought up a good idea to gain favor for getting god ranks or maybe mastery levels?

I would like it if maybe you gain favor based on a win streak kill streak type of thing.

Maybe every win streak you get increases your favor by 50.
So you get normal favor but once you get a 2 win streak you gain 50 extra starting on the second streak.

So it would be like this
1 win = normal reward for favor
2 win = 50 extra favor
3rd win streak = 100 extra
4th win = 150 extra
5th win streak = 200 extra
Any wins above a 5 win streak will continuously give you 200 favor until you lose your streak then you have to build your favor streak back up.

I play all day and it takes a good bit to get 15,000 or even 9900 favor just for a skin.

Okay thats good and all but you have about 40 damn gods on the game and the NUMBER OF GODS IS INCREASING. The number of skins to buy is increasing.

The price in which you pay is simply alot for how many gods that are in the game.
Its okay to spend 1 year worth of time to buy 5 skins but damn it will take you 2 years if you want to buy all the gods and skins and thats assuming your playing 24/7 non stop for 2 years.

When I check my friends favor when he plays 24/7 he has like half the favor for a god skin or a little more.

So by that it would take like 2 days of playing smite non stop just to by a god, and this is assuming you are gaining favor from leveling up. If you reach level 30 you will be ****ed.

AND THATS CHEAP compared to the skins and golden skins and all the other gods you need to buy.

For the average player who does not play for hours on end they will take a century worth of time to unlock ****.

This is why every one buys the god packs because we know how ****ing long it will really take. Hell even with the god packs we still take alot of time to build up favor for the skins and golden skins. I only have 2 golden skins right now and I play alot almost everyday unti the past few days I slowed down.

They need to add more ways to get favor and add more things to buy with favor.

Because for those of us with the god packs there isn't much to do with favor, its like oh I got favor I just waste it on a skin I hate now?

I don't agree. You don't NEED to buy "all the other Gods" or even skins. Some people won't like skins, and prefer original skins, so they have no reason to use favor for them.
People won't also buy ALL the Gods, because most of them don't appeal to them. Like I said, I've personally only bought 3 Gods. Which also brings the point that the God pack is really bad value for a casual player/non addicted/don't want to waste money. Not every has £150 to spend on a game.

As for getting favor, as I said before it's slow, but you can buy most things with favor. Hirez isn't getting any profit from users using favor, they aren't just going to hand it out when they know people will spend real money on their game. However, saying it's going to take a century to earn a god isn't true.
If you play 5 different games a day and win, that's 500 favor right there. Plus, favor for playing, plus goodwill bonus, you can earn 50 favor a game. That's 750 favor a day. That means it's going to take you roughly a week to earn a new God, assuming you only play 5 games a day, or win each game.
Also assuming you don't want to buy every God, then it will not take you a century to get all the Gods you want. I understand you don't always play 5 games, or win all the games, but it's useful for an example.

ummm if it takes you a whole week to earn a god then you are either doing horrible in your games or you are only playing for like 1 hour a day lol.

The person who I am teaching how to play smite gets enough favor in 2 days to unlock a new god.

That is because he is playing most the day and he is not level 30 yet so he still gets bonus favor.

He doesn't complete all the matches of the day.

750 per day is pitiful that is why I bought the god pack and alot of people do.

Don't kid yourself.

What would you pick if someone said

Well everyone is going to pick every god in the game.

More is better. I never herd of someone taking 1 dollar bill over a 300 dollars before off the street if its for free.

Why because everyone knows when they get the opportunit to get something they will get it.

For the average person it will take A LONG LONG time to get what you can get with just spending $30 on the god pack. I'm not knocking anyone who does not buy the pack.

But your kidding yourself if you are trying to think you are getting all of that **** in under a year. For sure that **** is taking a year or more non stop play to get all that stuff.

And thats why I bought the stuff, a year is time I don't have. I want a year of enjoyment not torture!!! Again I am not saying to buy the pack I'm just saying its dumb if you plan on unlocking all the gods and don't take the deal IF YOU HAVE AVAILABLE MONEY.

Why wait 1-2 years when you can just get it and have fun.

Its not like you are getting everything with no work because you still have to get legendary skins which you cannot buy and recolors, ect.

750 favor a day IS SLOW.

I don't spend money on games but yet on smite I did, because their favor system is so bad I had to buy the pack. You know its bad when you have no life and still cannot get much favor thats when you start spending money like us no lifers because even though we have no life we don't have a life to waste!

Well all I can say is, good job to HiRez if they make people that much wanting and needing to buy skins and new gods, it means they did very well, making the ingame content appealing. On the other hand for example, I was playing Smite almost ever since I made it into the beta, when it actually was hard to get in. Think I won my key at some forum or something. Anyways, since then I played casually like, few games a day, few games a week, sometimes addicted as hell, playing non-stop. And for that period I was pretty satisfied, I was buying gods I wanted and I was pretty much happy with it. There was no free god rotation even back then but it was still a hell of a fun and rewarding. After awhile I came back and got addicted again and told myself that Hirez deserves my money for the entertainment they provide me with. I bought the god pack, even 2 skins with gems afterwards in a period of 1-2 weeks. The game is crazy fun and very good, can't wait to see it on release, it will be knocking on LOL and DOTA 2 doors, believe me on that.

All this said, I have all the gods now, some recolor skins and some gem only skins and im still plying like crazy all night long and have a stockpile of like 40k favor which I don't really feel the urge to spend, because I think they might add something new to buy with favor.

I will give you an example with me again. I played League for 2 years+. Was on a very good team at 2k ELO, done tournaments alot, made a clan out of the team with 50ish members and whatnot, sites, forums, knew half the pro players from EU. With that been said... I had spent like few hundred euro on the game, not counting some prize rewards from tournaments, not counting some raffle prizes from various sites, some gifts from Riot, compensations for server downtimes, practice sessions with my team which basically revolved in 24/7 gaming, had overall few thousand wins and few thousand losses and many many many games which are not logged. With all that... I had a bit over half the champions unlocked, most but not all runes, and 10-15 skins. I will give you my account details if you don't beleive me. Compared to Smite, it is freakin absurdly amazing how much you get for the amount of money you can spend for the game. Spent so far like 40-50-60E I dunno exactly and I feel like I'm enjoying the game to it's full still having the enjoyment when I guy a new skin even if it's just the recolor meanwhile I'm almost exclusively playing the first gods I bought like year ago :P

I am not a PC gamer as smite is the only real pc game I dropped a **** load of money on.
I usually played consoles and actually I stopped playing consoles like 2 years ago but I will still play them on occasions.

If it was not for smite I would probably not be playing much games.

Like you I didn't buy a damn thing. I was just playing with a few gods like Anhur and what not.
But then as smite kept adding newer gods and updating their game with crazy skins and god ranks.
**** got real!

Thats when you find yourself no longer WANTING but NEEDING.
The feeling of having that feels valuable is why you also want to buy it.

But the deal is good for $30, I seen this one pc game where its like $10 just for a damn sword!!! or piece of armor!!!

Smite has turned me into a no lifer, in fact I had to stop playing smite like 2-3 days ago to write.

Ya I know on the forum I am a rager + no lifer gamer type of person it would seem.
But in reality I write music/record, ect.

Smite has taken that away from me, it has stop ambitions almost which is pretty bad.

Its kind of f'd up to think about now that I am saying it, video games take time quickly from you when your having to much fun.

The deal is good though.
I couldn't pass it up.

You don't even make sense. The God pack ISN'T free, as you put it. Yes if it was free, I would take it, everyone would. But it isn't free, and I'm not spending Â£30 on a game that I play Casually.

You're talking as if everyone wants all the Gods, and wants all the skins. Well, guess what? We all don't.
If someone buys the God pack, good for them, I don't say it's a waste of value if you want to send money on supporting a company for Gods that you want - Then good for you, I'm glad you do it. But that's not the same for all of us, so you can't put all the eggs in the same basket.

750 may be slow, but at the end of day we choose not the pay for the God pack, and if you re-read what I actually wrote instead of just jumping right off the bat, then you'd see I used 750 as an example of people that play 5 games a day. At least, that's 50 minutes. And you said it must be for people who play 1 hour. So, actually, it's 50 minutes.

Edit: also, for those who don't buy the God pack, can actually get some reward from saving favor to buying a God that they've wanted to buy. It's 6 of 1 half a dozen of the other. Not everyone is the same.
