Hi all, every time i log in to play smite when i am about to join a queue it says that starts in 5 min for normal games starts in 3 min for arena etc...even when i play a game if i want to play a second match in row i have to w8 again 5 minutes or so...why this happens??

Its a queue. Thats why.

Those are the global start times. The game starts the games every time that hits zero. If you watch it, you will notice that the time will reset to a higher number when it hits 0, even if you do not join that queue.

Yeah, it's not your average queue time like in LoL or Dota 2. The queues start in 'waves', and every 3 minutes a new 'wave' of players is created, all of them being matched in game at the same time.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
