Hercules Mid Lane Agni/Isis Mad bro?

I have played two games where I went Mid Lane with Hercules because I didn't feel like picking a mage and my team insisted that none of them wanted to go mid lane even though one of them was a hebo :/

The first game I played against a Isis and actually killed her early game, I was winning against her since I got the early kill but it soon turned into a team fight in which my team lost.

Okay last night I faced a agni mid.
I didn't get any kills on him but I got him low a few times with my ULT.
It was basically a tie because we both were just clearing waves, I don't know why but that damn agni had tons of mana and he had no mana pots or starter items to give him mana back.
I actually bought 2 mana pots while he had none and he still had more mana then me somehow even when he was spamming skills.

Would you guys think of this a troll if you were lanned against a hercules, would you expect to win against a hercules mid lane.

Just kind of curious because I never seen a mid lane Hercules and when I picked him I was kind of wondering what my opponent was thinking when he seen a Hercules in mid lane. I was wondering if they expected to beat me or not.

Maybe he cleared the minion waves with his ultimate? It doesn't cost any mana.

I wouldn't expect him to be a troll because Hercules is actually pretty good mid (against certain gods), but I would expect him to be really good because it takes more skills than playing him duo-lane.
If I was playing Hel, Poseidon, Isis or Ao Kuang I would expect it to be a hard lane to win because of the lack of escapes from Earthbreaker.

With gods like Agni and actually He Bo (because his 1 is so short range that it is dangerous for Hercules to pull him) I would be pretty confidant of a victory.

I successfully went mid with Guan Yu against Hel a long time ago. That was crazy.

I'd say any God can perform mid if you're considerably more skilled than your opponent. But between equally skilled opponents, a more effective mid God would most likely beat Hercules. Though I have to admit, I don't know Hercules' skill set/capabilities very well.
