Here is the link on reddit I read this today and it honestly just kind of renforces what I thought before and that Hi-Rez does and will ban you over silly things or things you have not done.

This person got banned because his name had Kelly in it and the reason why he got banned is because the person working for Hi-Rez is also named kelly????

Ummm that reason sounds kind of dumb to me.

So wait you can't have any name of someone who works for Hi-Rez then??? What if your name is the same???

Also if you can't put Hi-Rez ect then why do they LET you put those words in while creating an account????

One final thing, you can't ban people BASE ON WHAT YOU THINK they will do, you have to ban them on what THEY ACTUALLY ARE DOING.

And to me this person got banned BASED ON the THOUGHT that they COULD troll, but they actually have no proof of the person trolling and to me it sounds like someone from
Hi-Rez just got butthurt that their name was used in account name???

You can read the link... if you are trolling then ban away but this should not be bannable and even the Hi-Rez employee said she wanted him to get UNBANNED because of the mistake.

Just goes to show that they will ban you over random things and things you haven't done, they WILL ban you over things you MIGHT THINK of doing without you actually doing anything.

So for those people who get banned for no reason I actually believe some of them get banned for no reason or just because of something stupid like this.

Its like If I made an account name called 50 cent then 50 cent wants to get butthurt and ban you because you used a similar name. IF ITS SO BAN ABLE THEN SAY IT or DON'T ALLOW PEOPLE TO USE IT>

HiRezKelly is also known as HelloKellylink on some things. From what I see Kelly don't want people stealing names/igns that she uses. Some guys had uses these names/igns in smite and are making her look bad. If she looks bad then the whole company would looks bad. She bans him before anything bad would happen. Plus that guy is alright; he ain't mad bro.

I'm just saying if Hi-Rez is going by THEIR so called "Terms" and the things you agreed to...

well its not SUPPOSE to be bannable, if thats the case why does it not say it in any of the terms?

Also

If they don't want you doing it then you shouldn't let you enter their names or put the word Hi-Rez in your name or something.

Like I said though, how should he get banned if he did nothing though????
Okay he has a similar name but it says nothing about that in the rules and also if he didn't break any rules than to me its considered overkill on the ban.

You want to know why this is a problem???
Its because for the NORMAL PERSON who gets banned with an issue like this THEY ARE NOT GOING TO GET LUCKY and get UNBANNED. THe ONLY reason this guy got UNBANNED was because he got hold of a bunch of people and took screen shots of the problem so nobody can say other wise.

Also do you really believe that Hi-Rez is going to unban all the people like this?

For the normal person who gets banned they are going to think WTF I DID NOTHING WRONG WHY AM I BANNED???

And its going to say "griefing" and they are going to assume it means they were being bad in game when in FACT IT DIDN'T MEAN THAT AT ALL!!! So now that person is banned thinking they did something bad when in fact they just got banned because they have a name that is allowed by the current rules.

SO now that person can NEVER play smite how is that fair to them if they think you can do that?
Also is it fair that they LIE and say GRIEFING instead of just saying NAME IS IN VIOLATION????

The problem I have with this is that the average person will get banned forever
and the second problem with this is that THEY NEED TO PUT IT IN THE RULES if they want it to be ban-able offense.

Also this person DID NOT troll around with the name from what we know
so if he didn't troll around why should he get banned just because he has a similar name???

If thats the case then I bet 100 others got banned over this as well and are not ****ed from ever playing smite and they got "griefing" having no clue what the hell they got banned for because it doesn't say anything about making names similar to hi-rez people.

Ever own a xbox or play station???
We make gamertages on their THAT COPY xbox live names and we don't get banned on those so why is Hi-Rez so butthurt???

Nobody is going to think just because your name says hi rez that means they listen to you

My question is that is the issue the fact that he used HiRez in his name or that he used Kelly?

If its the former then I understand why he was banned, I just don't like it.

And besides. He didnt really get to use the account. He never said he like worked on it or anything. So it's no big deal. It will be a big deal if he bought something with that account.

#1: He made the account for the sole purpose to troll Kelly.
#2: He has her hole "internet name" in it HelloKellyLink.
#3: He just got suspended, for a short period.
#4: His account name was simply change back and the unsuspended.

IMO a completely sound reason for being suspended. Even though he might not have the intention to give her a bad rep in the game, the opportunity is there. And if he did ppl could think it is her (a Hi Rez employ) and that would give Hi Rez a terrible impression.

It's like if I went and made a account named "SmitefireICEN" and just went pubstomping, flaming and raging on everyone on purpose to give you a bad rep.

No I would be mad but I wouldn't ban you because I CAN'T and Hi-Rez wouldn't BAN YOU over someone else that doesn't work for them totally fair right lololol

And I don't recall any other games than ban you over this? How come on xbox I can make ANY NAME similar to ANY name and not get banned? Same or ps and same for other PC games as well I have played.

Just because people may THINK you are someone doesn't mean you should get banned and your missing my point. Let me refresh it again.

#1 ITs NOT IN THE TERMS OF CONDITIONS is it? Nope there for its not his fault if he does it because IT DOESN'T SAY YOU CAN'T DO IT. Nuff said.
#2 If its not a rule then he didn't break it
#3 HE got UNBANNED but do you think Hi-Rez unbanned all the others who did this? Doubt it

You see my problem is rules, if you don't make CLEAR RULES then we can do whatever you didn't say. For example if it doesn't say "YOU CAN'T TALK ****" then I'm going to talk **** have it in your rules next time other wise I'm not breaking the rules

Its like the law in real life, if there is no law saying You can't rob a bank then its to bad if I do it because you NEVER said I couldn't, doesn't mean I would just means I can since there is no rules.

She works for Hi Rez, ppl know who she is a lot of ppl would ask her stuff in game if they meet her in a game etc. A ton of ppl watch her stream etc etc. So if someone goes around acting like an *** with a know Hi Rez employee name, Hi Rez is of course going to stop him. If they didn't that would just make it seem like they didn't care about what ppl think about the game and I would frankly be a lot more concerned if the didn't do anything about it.

He didn't get banned just because of the name, but he deliberately messaged her in game, with her "name".

He is griefing/trolling, even though it's just by sending messages its still griefing..

The fact is that he is just a attention-***** and wants to be a troll (same thing with his reddit post).

But why is it not in the rules and why do they let you put words like HiRez in your name???
Makes 0% sense I assume they have the power to make it not let you type those words in so my question is WHY DO THEY ALLOW IT????
