Yes , closing the forums was a bad move from Hi-rez , but as the game is still running and there is no sign of "super-greed" from them I'm fine with it .

I personally think Reddit is a horrible format for a game forum but its not like the official forums meant anything. Everyone will just move here or somewhere else.

Some of the moderators on the main smite forum where just *****es plain and simple. THats why I never like that forum as much as this one.

Their support must be run by *****es too because I lost 800 gems and the ****in ***** who must have looked at my support ticket either deleted it or ignored it because I never got a reply.

I made several threads which all had proof of in game purchases and I even showed the account names to which my gems where sent to which Is shown in your email when you buy gems.

Guess why the hell Hi_Rez does?

#1 Delete or ignore my support ticket

#2 Delete all threads showing they did not respond to my ticket or fix my problem.

I believe SOME of the people who work for Hi-Rez are cool people

But the other half are just *****es who ignore you and delete all your ****.

They just let random *** randoms run their forums and think they are going to do a good job at moderating it when the same randoms they are choosing needs fired because they ain't doing their damn job.

For all I'm concerned thats $20 THEY TOOK, KEPT AND DIDN'T GIVE BACK TO ME.

So if I catch the person in real life I swear they will get that *** beat.

Hirez just lost control over their community. The center used to live on that forum. Now its on forums like this one. Reddit is an irrelevance. You don't go there to get reviews.

The main problem I had with them closing the forums is their statement that the traffic there was lower than on the social platforms. Well, obviously it would be lower if Hi-Rez posted their ****ing patchnotes and updates on Reddit much earlier than on their official forums (if at all). In fact, Hi-Rez had zero interaction with their community via the official forums, so it is entirely their fault that the traffic was low. That's still no excuse for shutting down the forums, because different people prefer different methods of obtaining information and communicating; there is no way I'm joining Reddit, just like there are others that love Reddit but dislike forums. You don't shift everyone to one specific site - that's ******ed.

Well, some veterans have formed a new forum for us to use, and I'm much happier there than I was on the official forums, so it's all worked out for me in the end. However, I take what they did as a big middle finger to me, and, while I will still purchase things in game if I like them, I will no longer purchase gems simply to support the company. It may not make a difference to Hi-Rez, but it makes a difference to me.

I think they're very community friendly. Not as much as TF2's Valve, but close. You've just been unfortunate imo. They're still in beta and can't handle just how much they need to change.

The thing is though, if you're REALLY involved with the community, the one thing you DO NOT do is wreck your central forum, AKA, the one that many people will immediately associate with both the game and it's developer. And regardless of what anyone here may think of Reddit, the place really does have it's problems, and much like Facebook, there will be some that REALLY dont want to sign up and use it. SO freaking tired of developers/publishers thinking that "social media" needs to be a part of EVERYTHING, but I digress.

Not to mention that randomly forcing your entire community connected to the game's main site to suddenly go anywhere else is just bloody stupid. It's also just unprofessional.

While this game isnt perfect I still love it, but this developer.... they can be so damn wonky sometimes.

ICEN, have you ever considered tweeting HiRezBart of Kelly? They are very player focussed and I have seen them respond to things on Reddit too, you could try that angle!
