The game in question...

This game was horrific. I picked chronos for solo, and everything went smoothly; until HB started on the wrong side. As such, I todl him to get over here and so he did, only for us both to die. Afterwards, I realized he didn't have a starting item and he never ganked. Slowly I climbed up a lead until I was 7-2 and on rampage at one point, but then everyone in the game got really toxic. Eventually I tried to peacekeep, and told HB he needed a guide and recommended him one on youtube, by LostScarf. He said he didn't need it, he was doing everything right and that we were are noobs with **** in our mouths. I didn't report him (should've in hindsight, silly pudding is silly, too flustered), but he was just so indignant. So was sobek, who blamed his deaths on the rest of us when he made ****ty plays. When we were up 4 kills and I'd pushed 2 towers we were pretty much break even in gold, but then BAM F6 WE CANT WIN.

And so I found the problem. Smite players have no such thing as an open mind (the bad ones anyway), and as such if they think something, it's final, and get too salty to play once they're proven wrong. It's kinda like with the 1 defence item guy: he had a point, but he never budged his opinion, and when he was criticised for it he gave up and handed in his notice. Guys, you aren't always right. Sometimes it's hard to believe, and I have a problem with this too, but sometimes, just sometimes, you may be wrong or there may be another interpretation you just haven't considered, or someone you think is being a patronizing jackass may just be trying to help you. Consider these things and it may make you a tad better to be around.

You've pretty much nailed it head-on. Although there are some exceptions. Some players just have nothing better to do than feed (i'd show you some of my previous games if I knew how to link them) but have no real excuse for why they do it.

It's not Smite. It's the internet. When a game gets popular, these kids are attracted to it.

Every online gaming community seems to be the same now, tbh. The trash players outweigh the decent ones.

EDIT: I think another big reason is because the majority of Smite players don't know how to play/understand the game or builds etc. Your HB in the first post is a good example. They think they're doing well yet are playing completely wrong, that and they don't respond well to criticism or advice. There's also anonymity for why people are so easily insulting.

You know. Most of the people like that are... Europeans. I'm not being racists here. But their english is rubbish and they act like they know everything and insult you when your trying to help.

They're Russians or South Americans, not mainland Europeans

can't believe that i just watched someone's video on Youtube where he was blatantly being toxic, almost people called lanes, "F**k you I'm going this guy (picking hebo but not knowing a thing) your a hunter, use your bow and arrow to jungle" whining and *****ing all the way through ... it's like people are proud that they don't understand what playing with other people mean
