If you decide to play ranked - be ready for some toxic players. At first you might not even see the difference between ranked and casuals, it is seen on high divisions like plat/diamond/masters. But I think it is worth it. I want to play ranked too, but my game had some problems, after I fixed them I played some ranked games and then decided to go back to casuals to learn another role except my main better. Now I just have high ping, so no ranked for me yet ;(

The thing that frustrates me the most is people don't understand basic smite concepts like the importance of warding, like as an adc I will usually end up warding as much as my support because being in lane without wards is just asking to get ganked and have your **** pushed in.

I have to disagree with this wholeheartedly.

I've not once had a game where people troll like it's casuals, and again, I'm only in Bronze III. Whenever I play casuals, the people mix the duo and solo lanes, they pick Nox supports, and they have Xbalanque jungles. I can pick up Artemis and usually go 15-4 or something similar.

I truly envy you if you haven't had to deal with troll picks in leagues yet. Hope that you never do either.

Thank you. I hope that too.

The only problems I have with league is either bad teammates, which I suspect mostly only occurs in low tier, or when the guys above me strongarm me and force me to play support. Even though I usually call fill.

Premades offer the same competitive experience while still not dealing with absolute toxic players.

Seriously, it's worse than LoL in ranked.

Premade is great if you actually have friends that play smite, but for most of us, league is the only sort of match where we can get communication going. Tbch, I rarely experience anything toxic in these games where everyone says they happen. Competitive CS:GO, Smite, what have you... There's almost , emphasis on almost, never someone that whine and yells at me for every mistake I make.

Thanks for all the feedback guys! I do like the competitive side of smite, so I think I'll give it a shot. I do still have one question though, you guys say that in League there's a lot more communication. I pretty much exclusively go with VGS and typed chat in matches and don't play with a mic. If I want to get into ranked play should I set up curse chat or something?

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods.
