Mic chat option

I don't understand why they wouldn't implement a mic chat option. It would be alot quicker than typing if we could just talk to our teamates with a microphone and we'd also be able to coordinate while IN the battle. Right now to communicate you have to take your hands off of your mouse and type.

Of course, you would always have the option to turn it off if you'd like. You don't have to use it, so there's no point in it not being there.

Because there is VGS already, and if I'm not wrong, HiRez supports a certain third party program.

Players already abuse of others via chat, and even on VGS( spamming Nice Job or You Rock when you die, as an example), and HiRez wants to evitate more verbal abuses.

Using vgs in the middle of a fight would be difficult and would hinder your ability to move freely. It's also incredibly inaccurate and can easily be misinterpreted.

Like I said, you could always turn it off, so you wouldn't have to listen to people if you don't want to. It would be easy to put a symbol over the avatars to show if they have it turned on or not. There's also an ignore feature in the game...that's what it's for.

Why should people have their gameplay and coordination suffer because some people may abuse it and some people are sensitive to what people they don't even know say on the internet?

It doesn't hinder your movement at all. Honestly voice chat isn't needed, it would just make it lag more for people with ****ty computers, like me.

If you are in the middle of a fight or running, yes it does you. There's no veg for focus thor. Or focus nezha, come back and get this guy off of me, give me a heal, etc, etc. Something being unnecessary isn't a good reason to not have it, it wasn't necessary that they make the game in the first place, but they did. The question is would it make gameplay better, increase team synergy and cooperation?yes, it would.

Like I've already said, there would be an option to turn it off, so you wouldn't have to worry about lagging if your pc sucks, because it's optional.

Turning it off wouldn't help, because you still have all of the data and it's components on your computer. Don't quite me on this though.

I did play Call of Duty and the talking was fine, you also had the option to mute someone as you would have the option to on this. You're right about this being a MOBA, so it's going to require far more coordination than Call of Duty and mic chat would help much more. I want to hear people I don't know coordinating and I'll like to be able to call focus targets while fighting, ask for things while running, and coordinate.

No, just like there's higher graphic settings that don't effect you because they're not turned on, neither will this. I've honestly never heard of an ingame mic chat being the deal breaker for reqs or lagging anyone.

SmiteFire & Smite
