In my Pre-Ap class we're writing poetry, this poem is a catalog poem based on my childhood. In the poem we are supposed to be practicing repetition, and something else (I forgot :P). This is my first poem I have written for the class, so if it's bad don't be to harsh.
As I think back on my childhood
I realize
nothing ever happened
no emotional event
no catastrophic happening
I had a typical childhood
I've never broken a bone
maybe if I had I would understand
maybe I would join the rest of the kids
but maybe that's not true
maybe because I have never been broken
I know I've always loved having the
spotlight

but I've never been one to put myself
