I'm just curious, when the smite beta first started, who were some of the first gods?

I'm pretty sure Ra and Artemis where some of the first, but I don't know any more.

So that would mean Anubis, Ra, Kali, Ymir and Artemis already mentioned. I would then guess that Sun Wukong would have been up there too considering he's also a god permanently on rotation!

Ymir was the first god ever made. If you look at how the big minions walk, Ymir walks like them.

Go on to smite games on youtube and watch their video on Anubis. They specifically state that Anubis is the first god they created.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
