At the start of the match our adc(neith) went to solo lane and wouldn't come to duo even after me and Thor kept asking her to. So I was left against a neith and Janus duo and somehow managed to go 14-0 and get a triple kill.

ares should be reclassified as a mage (because practicly he is a mage with his chains)

Ares is the only god that is literarily broken:

If he can manage to land three Shackles on you it will do over 1000 damage, which is more then most ultimate's.

No Escape is just ridicules. If you don't have any CC immunity to counter the pull then you are screwed, because as soon as you get pulled everybody on his team will bombardon you with CC and ultimate's. Killing you before you can even do anything about it.

Even if you do use CC immunity, No Escape still dose and unavoidable 500 magical damage.

I don't care that he can't clear waves or has any upfront CC, his kit is ********.

I don't care that he is useless I Conquest, he is ridiculously OP in Arena and Assault.

Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure Aegis Amulet stops both the pull and the damage from No Escape.

It does, but that's still a waste of an Aegis which has a longer cooldown that his ult does.


Also you guys are forgetting his flames, which I have seen do upwards of 2k damage in a three second spam.

I would hardly call nullifying a game changing ultimate "A waste of Aegis", especially considering that that's kinda the point of having Aegis/Beads.

Also, on the subject of Ares damage, it is absolutely disgusting, back in the day I used to run a tanky/Mpen build on him in the Arena and I would generally do more damage than any other god.
I am not sure, if such builds would be possible with current items/gods, but it used to work very well, because of how stupidly high Ares base damages are.

Damn guys didn't know you had this much a problem with Ares. I mean if doesn't land shackles on you and he's alone, Ares is a sitting duck. His flames tickle without chains.

@nex he's actually still viable in conquest. It's just that his kit is soo hit or miss. Like you either land your shackles or don't. People either beads your ult or don't. He's a decent counter pick against Awilix, Bastet, Agni, etc.

Gods with cc immune ultimates plus the beads usually will do good against Ares. You'll have beads when your ult is down and vice versa. Slap on an aegis and you'll never be pulled. If you have build flexibility, add in Spirit Robe or magi's blessing.

I also forgot that you HAVE to buy an (sometimes even two and/or Magi's Blessing) active once Ares hits level 5 unless you want to neat his team free kills and getting actives early is a huge money sink.
