Problem with power :: SmiteFire

So over the past half of a year I'd noticed an interesting problem where my screen would darken often when Smite lagged. This would also occasionally happen when running other games, but less frequently. I had looked up this problem everywhere but to no avail. Today I finally isolated the issue.

Apparently since I'm running Smite on high settings my computer is actually using up so much power that my house is unable to meet its demands on my floor. My power cable is unable to draw enough power and thus my computer determines that it is not connected to power. Therefore my computer decides that for those few seconds I have no power, that it must enter power saver mode because it's on battery and that it can only run Smite at 15 fps. While I now know the issue, does anyone have a solution? This is a problem with all the outlets in my room, although not in my living room so it must be just this area.
