If you block a player does that mean match maker will stop you playing with or against that person? Or is it so they just can't whisper you?

You still have the possibility to be paired up with someone you've blocked. Therefore, after a bad match with the person you blocked, it's recommended to not queue up for something. Wait a few minutes, then queue up again, so the possibility of playing with that player is decreased.

So they just can't whisper.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions.
