I wouldn't go with the conquest mode because there is some strategy you have to know about "Moba" type games. I would go with a simple arena or the domination modes. Everyone knows the concept of capturing more bases and arena is straight up brawlin. I think this will be easier to understand that the strategy involved in conquest.

Your opinion is very helpful, as that was what I was hoping for with this thread. There's a variety of insight even in the small number or replies you guys gave. Thanks! :)

The problem with this is, she might end up hating conquest because it involves too much thinking. But let her try different game modes, having an assault master would be cool.

If conquest involves too much thinking...then there's no hope for society.

DOTA involves too much thinking, and I'm never going to learn how to play that no matter how many of my friends beg me.

But SMITE is as straightforward as it gets.

Nah, I still think while playing conquest. But playing domination, I just charge and we win. Sometimes...

I thing you should teach her yourself in a costum joust while sitting on 2 computers next to eachother.. play simple against her while telling her to focus on different things, how to act in different situations.. the basics of laning and jungling faces and all that stuff.. it gives her a lot of time to think to start with without getting flamed by randoms and getting stressed by players owning her.

I used this method with my own girlfriend and she is addicted now.. but i think the most important thing is to take it a few steps at a time and let her adapt to how the game works:)

First of all, praise your gf for being a female gamer, which might be the most attractive thing ever in my book.

If she wants to play Cupid, be prepared to play aggressively. She would need to learn to use the / combo well, as well as using Spread the Love often to keep you in good health. She'll also need to learn to place , which I find extremely difficult sometimes but if done well it's extremely effective.

You'll either want to play a tank or a heavy damage dealer yourself. Cupid tends to lead someone else into a combo being a support AD, so be prepared to get up there and wreck some ****. If you're a tank, you can distract while she attacks, and you both can initiate to allow the other to deal damage.

Find the combo that works best and go for it. Practice often, and listen to each other. If one suggests that you're playing too aggro for them, continue working on your teamwork skills and try to find a balance.

If she needs practice, 1v1ing her or putting her up against the AI Ra is great practice. Cupid is relatively easy to learn but does take skill with that skill shot of his.
