Question on Conquest/duo mana buff: Since the ADC does most of their damage via basic attacks (I know, early game is weak), why do they always get the mana buff? Since I'm not experienced with the intricacies of Conquest at this point, my main thought is that the support, for their ability to initiate or peel, would benefit more from having the higher MP5, allowing them to use those abilities significantly more for offense and defense. Tie that to the fact that most supports start Watcher's Gift and work toward Midas Boots and Sovereignty as the first two items, it barely does anything to help with the mana pool (a small bit of MP5 and 100 mana when Midas is finished).

Now, I can understand an ability-dependent ADC like Neith requires more mana. I can also understand that the ADC may need to stay in lane longer before going back (support needs to get Midas ASAP, as well as go back for more wards, upgrade to Wrath). But are those the reasons? Obviously it's something that is more impactful than I'm understanding, as people have this whole thing down to a science, but would appreciate some further insight.

Now, I'm starting to think of the effect new items and revisions to existing items will change standard builds. Thinking it's going to be a big headache working everything out logically for my Assault guide.

I know Krett said his unicorn build is toast due to the Qin's nerf, probably along with the Tabi nerf. What other major changes are expected?

Here are some of my thoughts:

Celestial Legion Helm: The functionality of this is drastically reduced. Only stops extra damage from ONE crit??? 3-4 seconds drastically counters the hunter's crit build for a while, but only one hit (less than 1 second) seems to be almost worthless...don't care that the price is decreased by 400. Well...I don't know, really, going back and forth on this. 50 phys protection is significant, absolutely. Just don't know that the passive is enough to make it worthwhile. Thoughts?

Lotus Crown: +60 Magic Power, +30 Physical Protection, +20 MP5, PASSIVE: Any gods affected by your heals gain +20 Physical and Magical Protection for 5 seconds. Cannot be cast on the same target again for 10s. Cost: 2100. Any place for this for magical healers? Thinking maybe Hel, maybe Sylvanus, but not sure when it would be built. Sylv doesn't care as much about power, and his little flowery deals provide a bit of MP5 already. Sort of a mini/temporary Sov in the midst of a team battle.

Shield of the Underworld: Upon activation you reflect 40% of all damage you take, before mitigations, for the next 5s back to it’s owner as Magical Damage. While this is active, enemies cannot lifesteal from you. Cooldown 60s. Cost: 600. Seems like a good hard counter to an ADC/assassin for a mage. Would it take the place of Aegis?

Asi and Bloodforge: Slight + for Asi with minor $$$ decrease, bit of a nerf for BF, but not really...less lifesteal, quicker stack but 1% less lifesteal at max, but also almost 400 cheaper!!! Hunters coming online a lot faster...does this change the preference between these two items at all?

Hydra's Lament: WAY cheaper, and although power is decreased, its passive function is somewhat improved. I've always liked this item on warriors...think it'll get more popular?

Magi's Blessing: Removed Crowd Control Reduction from this item. Um...see this as being used way less, with more people upgrading beads quicker.

Sovereignty: Physical Protection reduced from 65 to 55. Health reduced from 450 to 200. Price reduced from 2550 to 2100. Aura now provides +25 HP5 in addition to +20 Magical Protection.

Still see this as being used by most supports, as it comes online quicker with the reduced cost. See this as changing how the duo lane fights a bit. Maybe makes the support stay with the ADC a bit longer for the HP5 aura. The 20 magical protection aura (guessing the physical protection is gone?) seems like it'll make the supports try to outfox the other in the attempt to get the enemy ADC. So support will block ADC damage, and ADC needs to stay close to the support in case an enemy guard is able to hit them. Other support needs to counter that guard initiation. I'm confusing myself.

Witchblade: WTF. This used to be one of my favorite items...no movement speed completely changes its replacement for tabi/shoes for me. Sucks.

Shoes/Tabi/WTF: I don't even know what to make of this anymore. Obviously movement speed is essential, but what would you choose in which situation??? No penetration for Warrior...no CDR for Ninja...no protections on greaves...guess that means that builds are going to have to more specifically specialize in different stats, or be balanced as jack of all trades...thinking Jotunn's for phys gods is going to be even bigger, unless there are also changes to that that I'm unaware of...

Anyway, whew.

well the blue buff was normally for clearing the lane. as basic attacks take to long (that's why you don't see xbals)

on the items bf got a big nerf but for assault it's pretty useful (because it's cheaper now)

Hydra's will really drop in popularity as it's only the next basic attack (so miss it and bad luck). But This is only for people who used it on a adc build (for loki's it's still usefull)

magi's isn't a really big problem as most people get it for the passive to counter certain god (and still get beads)

Sov bit mixed about it but we also got a magical sov now for a mage carry:D

the shoes/tabi/etc. I don't know why they did it but certain boots got nerfed so hard. e.g. The Shoes of Focus are 50 gold cheaper then tabi and give the same stat's but now they nerfed focus power and removed the mana (while magi got his pen removed and got it back in form of power 35 more power then then focus)
