I have played some dota 2 and lol and from what I have noticed it seems that tanky heroes/champs go jungle and I don't get why that is so and why that isn't so in Smite

well i guess its because smite works differently from all the other games, the skills, movement and attacking, but there are a few people that go jungle but just to get some kind of surprise attack for a team fight i guess...but other then tht i have no idea... :D

You have to keep in mind that in Smite, gold and xp are disseminated in an area as opposed to on last hits, so lanes generally end up more fed in smite because gods are picking up gold and experience pretty much constantly. Because of this, the only effective jungles are individuals who can clear jungle camps fast enough to make it worth doing, and most of the tanks just don't have that kind of damage output. Secondly, in Smite a jungle meta hasn't really formed; it's changing with the addition of Blink and Nezha, but up until now 'jungling' just meant a melee AD carry went left and took blue, which really isn't jungling. I would argue that now, at least with my team, we're starting to run a solo left (Ra or Hades seem ideal) and a pure jungle Nezha or Wukong, and we're dominating because everyone gets more fed, but it still only works with good camp clear, and tanks can't do that.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions.
