I'm starting to notices some accruing themes in some of the pantheons and I don't think I can find them all. If you finds some trends in a pantheon, type down the pantheon, the occurring trend with the gods and or goddesses in that pantheon, and some examples.

I'll start. In the Norse pantheon the gods or goddesses either switch stances (examples being Tyr, Hel, and Ullr) or you put up walls (examples being Thor, Ymir and Odin).

Lets find out if Hi-Rez are really clever on how they make the gods and their pantheon.

This might help, for anyone who is curious: http://smite.gamepedia.com/List_of_gods

It'd be interesting to see if there are consistent themes running across all deities in a given pantheon presented in Smite, but I honestly can't think of any consistent theme running across an entire pantheon.

This is entirely up to the player, though. Lots of gods can be mana hungry.

All the Chinese gods have a form of hard cc. All the hindu gods have a form of dash, leap or sprint built into their kit.

I found a new one. The Greek Pantheon gods and goddesses have accent, but the accents aren't from their own respected country. Apollo sounds Australian and Athena sounds Russian.

I thought Apollo is supposed to be a British rock star.

I dunno though. From other pantheons, you have Chaac who speaks in Ahnold, and Serqet who speaks British. We're not even taking skins into consideration, what with skins like Sydney Shredder He Bo and Fenrir... with a top hat. Also lunar tango Chang'e, and Ra'Merica, or even Swag I.

I don't know at this point.

To be exact, all Norse gods kits give both defensive aand offensive move and can change himself from one to the other. Tyr, hel and ullr are pretty obvious. Though, if you lbserve it, eveyone also is kind like that. Thor can use most his skills defensively and offensively, fenrir too, ymir damage gives him offensive ability, odin too and also others

To be fair, every god in the game can be argued to be like that. Even the most glass cannon god can be said to have defensive capabilities (like Anubis), yet even the most pure tank in the game can be said to have offensive prowess (idk, geb, I suppose?)

It's an interesting thread but sadly I don't see much room for it...if a pantheon had a theme running across everything it'd limit future releases under the pantheon, because it's not like they can create a god out of thin air; they're all obviously existing gods. And any theme that does exist would inevitably, eventually, be broken by an outlier sooner or later. Thus, any themes that do exist are either EXTREMELY generalized to the point of being pointless, or really dumb (e.g. all gods have an ability with a circle in it or something)
