There is so much potential here!

Amaterasu, the goddess of the sun and fire!

Hachiman, the god of freaking samurai (war and archery)!

Tsukiyomi, the somewhat evil god of the moon (killed his chef).

Seriously, there should totally be a samurai god. Out of the entire game so far, there are only three physical gods who use a sword. Moar slice-and-dice action is needed, pronto!

this has been suggested many times and hirez actually seems to be a bit interested. they need a new patheon since they will never do a hindu anymore.

I'm assuming you mean Shinto? That has potential.

Personally, I would like to see something done with Mesopotamian religions (Sumerian, Babylonian, etc.) and Slavic, Baltic and Russian mythologies. Even if it's done in an amalgamation, there is a lot of potential there. I would very much enjoy playing as Gilgamesh or Baba Yaga (both of which should be viable, since Hercules and Arachne are demi-gods, for example, not gods).

What I would really like to see Smite do is give a corresponding passive buff to a team that is composed exclusively from one Pantheon. Nothing game-breaking, but something to match the Pantheon and to give an incentive for a team to take that path.

Theres a god of explosives somewhere I'm sure... But most gods were created before the invention of firearms, so i doubt it.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods.
