I know the subject is pretty strong and accusatory, but still is there some truth? I have been playing these computer graphic games since the 90s and prior that it was text-based. Those games were subscription-based and though there was some hostility, it was fairly minimal. I understand the FTP concept, but with its introduction the clientâ��s maturity has dropped substantially. Letâ��s face it; those that have an issue with a monthly subscription of $15 are either child, dead-beats, are general parasites on society. Hell, it is the price of one meal at a fast food restaurant, but instead you get hours and hours of enjoyment a month!

Okay, I know the FTP model isn't going anywhere. I surely do not advocate having SMITE subscription-based (though I would play it). Is there some way to filter out the trash; the ragers.

This is not â��PCâ��, but what clientele does HiRez really want overall? I know the dream is to overthrow LOL and DOTA2, but many that are migrating over to SMITE is due to the immaturity of the other MOBAs. Then those that are migrating are being following by the immature ragers! The haven that was found in SMITE collaspes and is of course swallowed by the ragers. Sound extreme? What paying adults want to be screamed at by young children that still live with their parents? It only lasts so long before they find something else.

It is a business risk, but think of ALL the mature folks that have no real home since the MOBAs are overall dominated by the child, dead-beats, are general parasites on society â�� all raging. Okay, dominated does not necessarily mean by numbers, but no doubt the ragers dominate with the mature players beaten down until they quit or quietly play. The real joke is often the ragers are blow-hearts they often are wrong - they start in the first couple minutes of the match and create a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Yeah, this post is so wrong, but think of all the harassment to the innocent! What about them?

But its quite funny.. saying you want Hi-Rez to get rid of ragers is like telling obama to get rid of evil people.

The funnest thing is that you assume all ragers are immature...
thats like saying anyone who has ever said a bad word to another human are also immature and anyone who has ever got mad before is immature.

As far as I see it, everyone on earth is immature then.

Raging is just a more open way to express yourself :D

Any thread that has ANYTHING to do with ragers is literally calling to get ganked by ICEN. So as a warning for anyone else, just prepare your bootyholes

I actually tend to run into ragers far more in pay-to-play games, but maybe I have odd luck.

Either way, learn to deal widdit or leave. There's not really any options unless Hi-Rez wants to remove the chat bar.

I don't really see how they're "catering to the ragers" by simply making a F2P game. By that logic, all F2P games are catering to ragers.

There's also the mute button... y'know, if you forgot.
