seriously, every time someone autolocks, it's a merc, thano, or loki. I never see mages autolock, and I wish tanks would autolock. But nope, only assassins.

Everyone wants to be the assassin. That's not really new, but it has gotten worse lately since the last two new gods were assassins. The two main instalocker classes are assassins and new gods. I think Thanatos has some Loki-esque staying potential given how he's very capable noob-bait, but I doubt you'll see Merc too much once Sun Wukong and another god are released.

It does makes sense; if you care about getting kills over working with the team, you probably fit the mold of both an assassin player and an instalocker.

Merc is actually quite useful in arena. Thanatos will be around for awhile due to him being a tank buster.

its just that the type of people who play assassins are also frequently the type of people to autolock. maybe some personality trait? ive noticed this too though, its pretty interesting.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions.
