Well see, Hi-Rez got Bacchus wrong. Bacchus, while he is the God of Wine, never, and I mean NEVER, got drunk himself. Why? Because he was the personification of wine, he WAS wine, so he would technically be drinking himself.

The general idea of Bacchus was that when people drank wine, they were allowing Bacchus into their body and he would use his magic when that happened. That magic was basically what we would consider drunkenness. There was a female cult to Bacchus which still might exist today (I have no idea), who would have drunken orgies and worship Bacchus. They also ripped a man to pieces... or so they did in myth.

So since Smite has him drinking wine and spilling it on other Gods, he's technically playing with himself. Oh Bacchus you...

Yes Comicman, that's why I despise this Bacchus. Suffer.

Either of you two read Steven Saylor's books? Particularly Roma or Empire? Cult of Bacchus comes up in that, where people have wine orgies and have sex with little boys, why doesn't Bacchus have that as an ability?!?! Haha!
Also, I'm reading Robert Graves book on Greek Mythology out of interest, I'm not studying it, sounds fun though!

You want Bacchus to initiate drunken female orgies, rape children, and kill men... you sick person. No no, I get it.

I'll have to check those books out.

Basically that's exactly what I want! Haha!!

The books are good, fiction based around factual people and events!
It follows one bloodline through those two books I mentioned, starting with Romulus and Remus (and Cacus - don't know if that spelling is right) in the first book and goes through Roman history, it's really well written too!

I think thats why Smite is better than League IMO because its fun to play characters who can pretty much influence you to learn about them later. Just like the Civilization games, you can spend good hours reading the summaries on every single thing in the game.

I tell you why I like SMITE more than LoL. Because LoL is ruined by the meta, and I can never play what I want without getting shouted at.
