Yes it is a sad story... I just bought all gods...
and 1500 diamonds to dress up my gods...
and was level 28...
and suddenly I can't connect.

Turns out the hacker changed my username and then changed the e-mail as well and I wasn't able to change password .. how can they do that?

Anyone got hacked here before?

I made a ticket but I'm really scared

They'll probably ask you questions to make sure you're not a hacker or such trying to get a free account, and once they figure out you're the person who owns it, they'll get it back for you.

Sadly your gems might be gone, and it's up to HiRez to refund them or not, but luckily a hacker can't actively sell your god pack or such back, so you'll have everything, more or less, you had before.

Now get hacked in World of Warcraft and see all your characters have 0 items and no equipment, THAT sucks. I've seen that happen before. But there's not much to lose in Smite if you're hacked, so you'll probably get it back after being contacted.

Your username - the one that you log in with, not the in-game name - can't be changed.

However your e-mail and password can be changed very, very easily trough the website. All someone needs is your username and password.

Surely providing Hi-rez with what used to be your in-game name AND your Master account ID (log-in screen name) will give you some credibility. Don't bother giving your password, Hi-rez can't access your password because it's encrypted.

Double check that you didn't have capslock or any other trivial things going on - people panic when they mistype and usually jump to conclusions.

I hope Hi-rez can help you! No need to worry about the gems if you can get it back, your gems can't be sold to anyone, and the person that hacked you probably intends to use your account, so worse case scenario he'll use it on god skins. (+ the very probable case of him buying one name-change, which is, I think, either 200 or 400 gems).
That's just my 2 cents.

A similar thing happened to me twice and came to know how big a fool I m the second time around!..

Just wanna suggest: Do check if u have made multiple login ids with same password bcz whenever any new patch is installed u have to re-enter ur id and password. Often happens as was in my case, i entered the other id by mistake and saw all credentials lost.

Does Smite asks you to create a new "player name" or something like that when logging in or you just can't log in because of a different password?

If it truly was hacked, the fact that you bought gems should help since it gives a money trail that can trace to you.

Whats your in game name? Maybe some of us can check to see if you are 'online'?

It's been 5 days and HiRez haven't even replied to my problem. I send 3 more e-mail asking for a status update and not a single reply...

Is this normal? Or are they just ignoring me? Or are they silent due to the fact that they missed how easily can one take an account and change the e-mail address and etc?

When I tried to log, my username and password were not correct.

So I went to the smite page and tried to retrieve my password.

It asked me for my username and my e-mail. When I gave my username and e-mail, it said they don't match.

Sooooo it seems the guy changed my password, then went to smite page and changed the e-mail... and I'm done for..

I invested 54 euros in cash and 2 months of my time to get close to lvl 30 and HiRez won't even reply to my mail ...

Is it normal guys or am I just paranoid?

6 days and no reply. Yesterday I made a new ticket and still .. no reply. Do they not care?

Does anyone know if there is a customer support phone line or something? Would love to call their offices and demand an explanation.

Not a publicly released one. They do have an office phone for business related things though - I doubt this can be found easily. (in hindsight, a phonebook might have it, i'm EU, so I wouldn't know).

But to be really blunt. You're on the money when you say Hi-rez does not care. Or rather, Hi-rez can't afford to care. SMITE has gained a huge increase in player base, and with players, come issues, or rather, tickets. I wouldn't be suprised if they only have 1-4 people working on the ticketing, which, in rough estimation, recieves probably around 200-400 tickets a day. (Majority being people reporting (the same) bugs, people being auto banned, people forgetting their account info and people who had failed payments of whatever nature).

Your case, you being hacked, is not their fault. In the general rule of the internets, you can only get hacked if you give away your password, had a really simple password or in the rare case, got key logged. no, you didn't get keylogged, if you were, you bank account and other, much more valuable posessions would have been subdued too. Additionally, you might have logged into smitegame.com on a public computer without logging out.
Since the fault is at you, not Hi-rez, they are not prioritizing your problem.

As long as your ticket is not closed (check the status) it'll be looked into eventually.
That's just my 2 cents.
