Greetings,

As I participate in some of the match ups there is something that doesn't seem to work as they were designed.

Phantom Veil is supposed "allow you and allied gods within 35 units to pass through players and player made objects for 10s." To me that would mean you should be able to escape Xing Tian's ability of "Whirlwind of Rage and Steel" as you are in a phantom state and his axe should go right through you/allies so you/allies can escape.

just going by the description of the game.

No, his axe is not considered a barrier. It's more of a knock up.

Phantom only helps for things like Thor wall, Odin cage etc

Like authorize said it isn't considered a player made object.

How you say it should work should mean pretty much every basic attack or abilities wouldn't work. (I do wonder if Lacerate (medusa dash) would go through such a unit if you used Phantom Veil yourself)

Whirlwind of Rage and Steel isn't a player made object nor part of Xing Tian's body, though the animation uses his axe. It's a normal CC ability that only CC immunity can prevent, so Phantom Veil doesn't counter it.

These actually contradict the descriptions.

"Xing Tian hits enemies with his axe, hooking them and spinning them on it up to three times in succession, before throwing them."

The weapon is an extension of the player so "Phantom Veil is supposed "allow you and allied gods within 35 units to pass through players and player made objects for 10s."

Going by the definitions of the skills by the game, it would make sense if your Phantom Veil status would bypass an axe.

Phantom Veil only works against player-made walls/barriers.

You have to understand the mechanics of the various things in-game. You're reading the description of the ability, but in the end, it's a displacement ability, not an actual, literal object. Basically, the axe in his hand does not block people from moving through a space.

But players themselves do... That's why you can do things like body block.

The most obvious examples of actual "objects" that are made be players are Ymir's Ice Wall and Odin's Ring of Spears.

Yes unless classified as a wall ability, Phantom Veil has no effect on enemy god abilties. The two most obvious ones being Ymir and Odin.

By what you are saying and how mechanics work you refer to the hitbox of xian tian changing, meaning you should also be able to hit him when you basic attack his axe (on the side) which isn't possible because the hitbox doesn't change.

this same hitbox is one of the boxes that veil uses to pass through. Abilities have their own hitbox as I hope you already knew. And yes it's pretty much always a box because it's easy to code
