It could be a system in which you add up points (starting at 0) depending on several factors like class, pantheon, etc. After the probability would depend on a scale from a very low chance to a very high one.

Or, you could just wait and follow the patch notes as they come. No extra work needed, easy, and you'll know a God is coming before they're in the game anyway. Ta-Da.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat.
