Aphrodite's Skill Order Notes I like to level Aphrodite differntly in support than I do in mid, since we have a different goal here.
In support, just like in mid, we level the 3 first since that is our wave clear, our poke, and our heal. We then level up her ultimate for the increased duration (the more damage your carries can do while being unkillable the better), then her 1 for the reduced CD and the buffs it gives, and lastly the 2 for the damage.

I recommend levelling Aphrodite support in the following way 3 -> 4 -> 1 -> 2.

If the kiss hits an enemy god, they are Damaged, Stunned and Aphrodite's soul mate gets jealous, increasing their damage. Also, Aphrodite's soul mate gains 50% of her MP5 and 10% of her Physical and Magical Protections.

Extended Build

Items She Can Use.

Notes Aphrodite can use almost any support upgrade, pick which one you think is best suited for the situation and build accordingly.
Just like most supports, Aphrodite has an abundance of items to choose from, you simply have to pick what you need for the situation; however, you should almost always pick up Prophetic and Thebes as those will help you be tanky and give your team some protections as well.

Short Introduction.

Welcome to my guide for Aphrodite, Goddess of Beauty
My name is Kitt. I play a variety of modes, like Conquest, Joust and Slash; as well as be a full-time healer main. In this guide I'll be teaching you how to navigate the battlefield as Aphrodite in a few role's and build paths to go along with it.
This is my first ever guide on SmiteFire, and I'm still learning the ropes here, so if there's anything here I missed please feel free to let me know! (I should also mention that I'm following a template for this guide.)

Let's discuss the reason we're all here; let's learn how to master the Goddess of Beauty, the ever perfect, Lady Aphrodite!

This Guide was last updated during patch 11.7

Pros and Cons!

Pros:

  • Helps keep tanks and hyper carries alive.
  • Can provide good protections and decent CC to team.
Cons:
  • Easy to kill as a midlaner.
  • Very countered by slows and antiheal.
  • Does not deal super well with being out pressured.
  • Often focused in teamfights.
  • Not very high consistent burst damage.

Aphrodite's Abilites.

Passive - Center Of Attention
Aphrodite gains protections of each type for every enemy and ally god within 70 units of her, this is not a passive you have to think about too much but can come in use as a makeshift ward, these protections can also benefit the protection share from her first ability.

1 - Kiss
This is the core of Aphrodite's kit, this is what makes Aphrodite's kit function, you want to keep linked as much as possible, as you gain many benefits from being so. When linked you gain; movement speed, and you share your protections and 1/2 of your MP5 with your linked partner (we call them soulmates) When kissing an enemy god while linked to an ally one, your soulmate will get jealous and gain a % damage dealt increase as well.
As a mid laner, try and be linked to frontliners (Tanky ones or Junglers) to safely get big damage off from her Back Off! You may also use [Kiss] to CC enemies to make her 3rd ability Love Birds's damage easier to confirm, as it travels rather slowly.

2 - Kiss
Back Off! is a very simple ability to use and understand, Aphrodite will do a large amount of damage in a circle around you and your soulmate, should you have one, this ability also knockbacks and slows the enemy she hits with it (note that the knockback only applies on the Back Off! originating from Aphrodite) Enemies cannot be hit with more than one blast of Back Off!

3 - Love Birds
Love Birds is the 'Do everything I need' button for Aphrodite, it grants her sustain and her soulmate good healing, grants her and her soulmate cooldown reduction, and even hits very hard with a full power build. Whatever needs you may have, Love Birds will have you covered.

4 - Undying Love
Undying Love is why many people dislike playing against Aphrodite, this ability at max rank grants 2 whole seconds of complete invulnerability to everything in the game and can even be used while knocked up! This ability additonally grants Aphrodite and her soulmate the jealously buff from Kiss, allowing Aphrodite to pump out some insane damage with her abilites. Undying Love can be used in a large number of scenarios, but for most players is used as a beads/aegis to save yourself or an ally from a situation they would have not lived from otherwise. Try not and be too stingy with this ability, or you may obtain the ire of your teammates.

Items!

So, what's the gameplan?

Aphrodite plays differently in what role you play her in, as of 11.7 I believe her to be viable in 2 (potentially 3) roles, those being mid and support (we will not be discussing solo.)

Aphrodite in Mid Lane

Navigating with Aphrodite as a damage dealer is a bit complicated, you'll be able to output good damage, but it comes with a decent amount of risks, such as being incredibly easy to lock down when your ultimate is down.
You start the game with Love Birds, as that is your clear and your heal, this will be the ability we max first. Lane pressure does not come naturally to Aphrodite so expect to be out-cleared, especially if you do not go Conduit Gem, be prepared to lose some gold to tower and do not get greedy, get too far behind and you'll not be able to do anything in team fights midgame. Early game it is not realistic to be linked to someone all the time, but when supports rotate to your lane be linked to them or the jungler.
Make use of your sustain to outtrade the enemy midlaner, when the support or jungle is around try and make use of your good damage, and ultimate to all in the enemy midlaner to help but yourself ahead.

Aphrodite in Support

Most people consider Aphrodite a much better support than a mid, and I'm inclined to agree, her kit was built to be a support, but only somewhat recently gained the tools to actually properly support her team.

When starting out, you've got a few options for support, I tend to choose either Benevolence or Sentinel's Gift; however, War Flag and Protector's Mask are also decent options that I might pick up depending on the team comp. I pick up the T1 going into Prophetic Cloak a couple of pots and being my move to the buffs.
Just like mid, we always start out with Love Birds, there is no other option, you need the damage to clear the buffs and the first wave; once we get to level 2, we pick up our Kiss to grant sustain to our lane partner. Depending on the ADC you get paired with, you may or may not have pressure, but in most cases, you'll be on the backfoot in terms of clear; try and keep minions out of the tower and do your best to not fall behind!

Midgame is an awkward spot for Aphrodite, you've probably got a few items online, and you're rotating around the map, normally staying in mid to babysit your midlaner, but you should ward around the map where necessary and move to support your team wherever necessary as well. Midgame is where we have to make a choice as to what abilities we want to level up, you can choose between Kiss and Undying Love but I would not put any points in Back Off! besides the first one until Kiss and Undying Love are levelled. I would recommend putting points into Undying Love whenever possible.

Lategame is where Aphrodite really shines, with a full support build, you're very tank and you can make whoever you're linked to very tanky as well, with the build I like to go for support you give out many prots, healing, and even some small shields, it's great for keeping not only your soulmate alive, but decent at keeping the entire team alive as well.
Lategame navigating is rather simple, as a healer and a support, your job is to pick one person who's doing a bunch of damage and keep them alive so they can do EVEN MORE DAMAGE. Aphrodite likes to be on teams with hypercarries like Artemis, Mercury. Kali, or Freya, these kinds of gods can really make use of Aphrodite's kit, to keep them alive so they can pump out insane damage late game. However, she can also do well with normal scaling gods, such as Neith, Anhur, Scylla, Poseidon, Da Ji, Ravana and more! As long as they can deal damage, they can make use of Aphrodite.
Keep to the backline with your squishy teammates and let your jungle or solo initiate team fights.

Conclusion.

Aphrodite can be a dificult goddess to play, but with the right amount of work and effort, you too can grace the battlefield with Aphrodite's divine beauty.
