Hi there and Skills

im new to this site so its gonna take a while to get used to it and how to work it so if i dont have a good format sorry about that... sorry for the walls of text ill rework the guide latter on

so to start with your kit as arachne:

passive:Poison Claws:- this passive is what the build is focused all about its very strong early game - mid game but does not really fall off that much late game to sum it up every AA you do puts a dot that ticks for damage and stacks 3 times with it self the dot hits every 0.5 sec for 3 sec x 3 stacks and can be refreshed the base damage is 8 +15% of your physical power with the warrior tabi at rank 2 this is 10 - 15 damage per stack on tick so 3 stacks would be 30 - 45 damage x 6 ticks = 180 - 270 damage + refresh and the basic attacks them self and its 400 - 650 damage at LvL 1 aka free kill

spell 1: Broodlings: you lay a egg which acts as a ward and can hatch spiders which follow the enemy that triggered them and then go around hitting them for 10 sec dealing damage early game these guys can kill if some 1 runs into 2 - 3 eggs at LvL 1 - 4 there is a good chance to get a kill i max this 2nd since they grow stronger per rank and get more HP damage they also slow the guys they hit so tactical placement can be used to cut off escape routes or if some unlucky guy walks into them early trying 2 invade your buffs at the start ect...

spell 2: Drain Life: this is the skill arachne is well known for its the reason no 1 likes to 1v1 arachne this spell deals fair damage while silencing the enemy god and healing you it can turn around a bad situation into a good one ect... this spell hits every 0.5 sec for 3 sec and heals at the same intervals in order to get the most out of this skill you need to AA a enemy god 3 times for the passive stack up the 2 skills in combination are early game death thus i max this skill 1st

spell 3:Tangled Web:you shoot some web into the aoe slowing targets this is all the skill does at the moment i usually dont even get this skill as the slow on early ranks is not so great and a moving target wont be slowed for much since the AoE was nerfed when they had a cripple effect but it was removed and now the AoE was not made into its old size so get this skill after you max 2 and 1 the slow is good at rank 3 - 5 but 1/2 are not a lot considering the aoe size and i personally dont find it worth it due to the advanced tactics i describe bellow at the end of the early game chapter but if your not going for those get this at lvl 4 max it 3rd or after the ult

spell 4: Cocoon:you shoot a web in a line which as of a recent patch can go through walls(YEAAAHH) if the web hits a enemy god they are pulled to you and stunned during the pull it deals low damage and ect but thats not the point the skill has a short delay before the web is shot so careful aim and prediction is required but it kind of makes running away with a jump really hard even more so now that it goes through walls if some 1 jumps just aim for there landing area if well timed they might not even bead away on time unless they used beads before the jump though in that case just shoot a slow web instead and run in there direction then pull when they take a turn through a wall(most dont see it coming) i will go into a more details on how to use this for some pretty evil ganks i get this at lvl 5 and usually max it last as its damage is low but there is the option to max it 3rd and when you can after the 2nd and 1st spells

now for Actives:

- Hand of the Gods/ Fist of the Gods - either of these can greatly speed up your jungle but i dont take them since arachne has a pretty fast clear time and can pretty much keep up with other junglers that have this though i will admit that fist of the gods + your pull can be a brutal combo at times the normal hog is great when you solo GF every 7 or so min or stealing/finishing off FG

- Meditation/ Salvation - this can give you back mana and HP when you needed usually this is a bad choice unless the enemy team has a thanthos then meditation can save you and salvation can even save the team(as your have a lot of HP with this build)

- Creeping/Weakening/Enfeebling Cruse - this active can make your ganks brutal i usually get it for team that seem to have either high healers or AA dependent fighter i get weakening curse to stop all enemy healing when all the burst from my team comes its also awesome vs herc in a 1v1 setting counters his healing ability so hard i get enfeebling curse when the enemy builds attack speed or has attack speed steroids

- Aegis Amulet = the feeling when you do a suicidal dive for a kill on the enemy carry and they try to blast you with a few ults to save the carry and you then aegis it well the feeling is rather nice as the next team fights is yours

-Blink/both out of combat and Combat Blink - out of combat blink can let you chase batter in certain scenarios or engage while combat blink can help you run away or doge Ultimates in a instant

-shell - either 1 of its split tier choices can be quite good in a teamfight

- girlde of power/support/inner power - we only get the girdle of support if our team needs a edge in the fights

- Eye of Providence - for when you want 2 ward the map as you do a jungle route (this can help the team be letting them see the enemy jungler as well as latter on at rank 3 if you chose 2 get it lets you pull of some advanced tactics those will be explain bellow there at the end of the early game chapter)

- sprint/ Heavenly Agility - again since we are tanky/bruiser ish we get the team version of heavenly agility which is a team aoe speed buff and slow cleanse counters creeping curse slow

- Purification Beads - i usually dont get these unless i need them really bad such as countering ares ult and countering fenrir or withstanding a kraken stun ect...

that pretty much wraps up the actives i like now for starter items

- arachne does not really need a started item but if your new you should start the game with Bumbas mask rank 1 warrior tabi and HP pots if you have left over gold with the mask you wont have any mana issues in the jungle

now then next up the start and early game

Pros / Cons

the PRO's of arachne:

1- Great Jungler
2- Great Ganker
3- Stronger Early game of all gods in my opinion
4- for now the only god that goes through walls
5- great passive for early game domination
6- broodling act as free wards
7- can get the team a LVL 1 gold fury if the team helps and solo it further on whenever its up



the CON's of arachne:

- Squishy early game(though mid - late game are not with this build of mine)
- often focused(though mid - late game this less of a problem)
- Best ganks/assassinations depend on a delayed heavy skill shot
- weak to CC even more so then most gods as if her drain life is broken she can be nuked
- does not offer much to teamfights on her own and depends on her team a lot for mid-late game

Start & Early Game

now then at the start of the game you want to get rank 2 warrior tabi a hp potion a mana potion and then another potion of your choice your Role is that of a jungler a very aggressive jungler that ganks often and has a high kill chance but make sure to give some kills to the lanes they need them more then you will since your going to be focusing killing key enemy targets while being really freaking hard to kill

now then you go near the red buff and lay 3 eggs near it but not near enough for them to hatch this way you can get red really fast by pulling the red buff into the eggs with a AA then walking backwards a bit after getting mid neutrals lay 1 egg near blue buff just for general vision and in case of a invade you team can ambush the invaders ect... then go to mid neutrals and put down the last egg to tank them for your team and drink the mana potion you need it then what you do is:

1 - clear mid neutrals

2 - clear red buff and take it get drain life if you LvL up here

3 - lay a new egg near blue buff and pull it then give it to the solo/duo lane

4 - if your mid and there mid are in now fighting each other go do the smaller neutrals

5 - after the above is done you should be LvL 3(get drain life again) or so unless you had a 5 man exp split either way now is the time to gank mid if they pushed a pit you check if there creep waves are just about to spawn and then move in lay a egg behind the god and AA until he is almost out of reach and then drain life him thats pretty much it you now have first blood in case the enemy god is tower hugging and scared of you and your mid just skip this step

6 - if the mid neutrals you did at the start re-spawn (in case you ganked up there) take them if the gank did not happen go to the other sided jungle and do blue buff for that lane and give it to them if they did it alone do speed buff and check the situation if possible gank the lane if not then do that sides weaker neutrals then try to gank(it all depends on minions if there wave is half dead or almost full dead you gank if a new wave is almost there and the old 1 still half dead then dont gank) if hit 4 by now get either the eggs again if your going to be doing the advanced ganks and tactics i write bellow the 10th step if your not going to do any of those get the tangled web it can be useful vs some gods ect...or at least make hitting

7 - by now you should be 100% oom (as the ganks on mid and the other buffs will have needed 2 mana potions to do)(or really good management of natural mp5 ect...) head back to base finish warrior tabi and go for jotuns wrath this item is what i prefer in most situations but executor is quite nice as well and is good vs bruiser type teams make your pick and head out the red buff should have re-spawned by now and that means you should go grab it and see if the enemy jungler is trying to take mid neutrals if they are gank them in case you know the route the enemy jungler used for his jungle you can try to ambush him at his buff but i would not recommend it if its warded you gonna have a hard gank on you if there a decent team ect...

8 - after your red do the blue give it to the lane and then try to gank it if possible if not move onto step 9

9 - depending on how things are going chances are you want to gank mid again then do the other buffs and then in case the left lane cant be ganked(wards or other reasons like low HP on ally gods ect...) go gank mid just as they come back from there previous death then go back to base and finish your 2nd item and start a focused void blade

10 - repeat the above buff/gank pattern and chose a lane to focus if you need 2 until mid game which usually starts when you finish the focused void blade and try to help some towers go down if you can now we go into mid game but first some special chapters on some pretty neat stuff

--= ADVANCED AND INSANE GANKS/TACTICS =--

these are ganks that only arachne can do with her cocoon as of when it can go through walls there are 2 main types of these ganks:

1 = Mid Neutral trap ganks and

2 = Tower Hugge killing ganks

now for the 1st one

1- now in order 2 do this you need to make sure that the mid camps neutral camps are cleared and lay 1 or 2 eggs there make sure to have vision on the enemy god at mid(usually minions or the mid god can do this though wards can be used just as well) you then aim the pull from the mid neutral area into the enemy god when you think he is just about in range for it usually they need to push and be at least at the middle point of the lane for it to hit if it does hit they are pulled through the wall and into you and the eggs you then AA 3 times and drain life this is usually a surefire kill as your mid will run them moment you pull and cut off there escape route or in case they have skills that go through walls like anubis they can use there skills and shot the enemy through the wall(anubis can 3 and 1 through the wall at the moment of the pull to add some fine damage or he can 3 and ult as well)(poseidon can whirlpool to cripple a god with jumps Isis can use spirit ball ect...)

2- now for this tipe of gank you need 2 have vision of the enemy god in his tower and you need either a rank 3 eye of providance from mid or the tank of the duo lane and have them ward the jungle path/s nearest to the tower(aka the ones you can jump into the tower from
since the rank 3 eye ignores walls in its vision this lets you aim your pull when they hug the tower ect... same as above you lay down some eggs and wtf pull them through walls in case eye cant be gained careful coordination with your team and use of minions can be used instead but is much much harder to pull off (the wards for side lanes with a rank3 eye can be put at the edge of the blue buff camp of there side)

and now then in case a enemy god tower dives and jumps through a wall and out of your towers dont forget to aim at his landing location or in case you have wards if he takes the route next to the walls you can pull him right back into that tower for a kill

and dont forget to punish ymir and thor walls from the enemy or ally team if a enemy team ymir/thor make a wall and save there ally pull them through those walls for a no escape death ect... if a ally god does it instead and the enemy jumps away from it make sure to pull them back in

now then to wrap this up in case you did not realize it you can pull through the FG(Fire Giant) and GF(Gold Fury) walls so if there are wards or you have vision of it you can pull a enemy god/jungler from there run away/ganking routes and into the gold fury/fire giant lair and have a 1v1 vs them there this can be quite brutal for many foes

SPECIAL START: LVL 1 GOLD FURY:
- for this to happen you need to buy your tabi and ect and run towards the gold fury as fast as you can and lay 5 eggs down onto it you ask your team to come and help and get a HoG to kill it 5 eggs and 3 AA from your + some spells and AA from 3 more gods and a rank 1/2 HoG should kill it right before you die you then drink a HP potion in case the the enemy mid is pushing you can do a 3/4 man gank(mid the solo/duo which are running into there lane and you) this start can be quite profitable but there are high risks to it:

1- there is a good chance you will die if the hog or hogs are not used on time

2- if the enemy knows what your up to they can gank you and kill all of you as well as steal the GF

3- in case they cant do the above they may trigger your eggs to ruin the LVL 1 gold fury

but there are some risk for the enemy as well which is the following:

1- is there a sobek/herc with the there

2- should we risk a steal/interuption if there is a sobek/herc there(if a they do go for it and a sobek or herc pull them into the eggs before the GF spawns you can get first blood and GF at the same time in case you have both sobek and herc and manage to pull /punch/ multy pull more then 1 target it can be a early game changer)

take note i have often made my enemy rage quit with the above plays for some reason they really make ppl angry so the sooner you learn them the faster you can make the enemy team focus you a lot and since your end game is tanky thats good and a final note dont forget to use your eggs to guard your buffs when you think the enemy might go for them and make sure to use them as wards these 2 elements can determine a amazing arachne out of a great arachne just as the above advanced tactics determine a great arachne from a good arachne and ect...(yes having vision and shutting down a enemy jungler when you can find him in the jungle is the most scary element of a arachne having both that and the above learned makes you a awesome arachne) now onto the mid game

Mid Game

now the chances are that the enemy is taking notice of you and are now out for you as most teams want to kill you now and slow you down so that you dont get high damage items for the late game fast ect.. this is why we instead of high damage buy a lot of protections usually you want a bulwark of hope and sovereignty as the 4th and 5th items since lanes are now usually empty as team fights start to happen when this time comes you need 2 be careful as you dont offer 2 much in team fights you usually want to pull out the vital target and then have your team along with you mega kill him/her/it you want 2 aproach the fight from behind and make there Mages/Hunters back off and or waste ults (like a poseidon panic casting a panic kraken) in general the main role for you hear is the role of a disruptor assassin you either pull key targets through walls and kill them fast or you can pull away there initiator and have your team start a 4v4 when you do it ect... (pulling away a ymir through a wall right before a team fight can happen then following and silencing him so he cant CC your damage dealers while they kill his team fast or pulling out say a posseidon and killing him through the wall and taking away the kraken from a teamfight this is what you will be doing the most also make sure to start giving the red buff to the best damage dealer on your team as in most cases its not you
in case of a fight in the jungle ect... you can mark your self the target by doing suicidal looking aggressive attacks towers there carry's and make them waste CC on your your team can then jump them with a much lesser fear of the enemy CC ect.... this is why we build tanky mid - late game now onto the late game

Late Game

this is when all the towers are usually pushed and fights areound the FG start to happen your usual last item is a frosbound hammer though in case of healers Pestilance or brawlers beat stick in order 2 lower the healing of specific targets ect... you also start drinking the 400 gold potions of power for a small boost and start giving red buff to the best damage dealer/burst god if you did not do so already in case you were still most damage in mid game
now then fights around the FG are gonna be happening a lot so i will explain some fun arachne tricks you can do

1- in case the enemy team has started FG you can go behind it pull a target through the back wall of the FG and into the jungle to its back usually this should be the main damage dealer of there team or a team fighter like poseidon try and kill them or disable them for as long as you can and have your team ambush the others and burst down the squshy targets first other options include pulling the tank or jungler with HoG through the wall so that your team has a batter stealing chance or killing chance since they may lose much needed CC from there team this trick can be on the GF(Gold Fury as well)

2- in case your team has stared the FG you and you have a lot of vision you can try and pull away targets through partial walls towards buffs and ect... you can have your team try and bait the enemy and then you can pull them through a wall into your side of the jungle you can do this from a cleared red/speed buff though this is much harder to do as the enemy may ignore the bait retreat and just go FG any way thus you prefer scenario 1

those 2 things are the main ways to help your team you can also just normal works with the team for a 5v5 if your not confident in your pulling ability in that case you can pull a target when there hit by the CC ability of another ally god

and know the final last bit you need to know is that at this part of the game you should WARD a lot even if you have a eye use it at its best location and put normal wards/sentry wards through other critical passage ways

and now for the last chapter i will explain some fighting tactics

Fighting tactics

when starting a fight or forced into 1 here is what you do:

1- make sure to put down a egg and then fight if the spider starts hitting you get a advantage

2- in case your not at a good position you can fall back while placing eggs or fall back using a route with planted eggs if a enemy chases you into your eggs you can turn the fights around

3- in case things look bad and life drain is on cooldown(cd/CD) try to kite/juke and run away or use step 2 until its up again then land 3 AA and heal up unless your so low that you need 2 heal up right away

4-this is a little trick with blink arachne(combat blink is prefered though out of comabat blink can be used but is far much more harder to do) in general you lay eggs at a cleared buff camp and in case your running away from a champ you know can(and probably will follow you) if you blink through the walls into the now egg infest buff camp lay down 1 more egg and as soon as he jump/blinks/teleports in/ you hit 3 AA and drain life or just drain life if you must them can turn the situation around

5- this is similar trick with the blink arachne from above but except instead of depending on him following you you will instead need vision with wards of that area and as soon as you blink into the buff camp you turn around and pull them into it through the walls then either drain life or use 3 AA then drain life ect...

6- the above trick can be used at other ares of the map like blinking into your tower then pulling a enemy god into it ect....

7- in case of a arachne vs arachne thing and in case you have beads and comabt blink and in the off chance that your losing and that she is life draining you at your base you use beads + combat blink to get your self into the spawn area and kill her with it though it is possible to pull players into it if your team has a sobek/herc/mercury/tyr/combo of 2 of either of those ect...)

and this concludes my guide on arachne i hope it helps you and sorry for my bad English

Holy wall of text, batman!!

Ok, I know this was literally just released, but make it aesthetically pleasing. I want to read a guide, not an essay, and the best way to persuade is to make the reader feel interested.

You need a
>Skill Section
>Active Section
>Alternative Choices Section
>Counters Section (if desired)
>Why pick Arachne over other junglers
>Why play her bruiser over assassin

Additionally, as far as information goes, PLEASE take at least one level in Tangled Web. I mean sure you're missing one point in something else, but a 20% slow for 3 seconds may be all you need, especially since you don't have Fatalis or Sprint to not have a movement speed penalty. Additionally, if you toss out a web to slow them, it's easier to line up your Coccoon.

Sovereignty may not be the best option if you're looking for physical defense. Like, if the physical defense is REALLY that required for you, past even your Focused Voidblade, then why not take Runic Shield, or better yet, Hide of the Leviathan since you didn't take Reinforced Greaves? The CC reduction could save your life.

As far as the gameplay is concerned, I tried only to skim over it because it's really really hard to read, but I'd caution very heavily the suggestion of doing level 1 gold fury. It's legitimately almost never attempted, and the times it is, it almost always results in a failure. No one is tanky enough to kill it without dying, and most people will scout out the jungle near it while the carries or supports get the blue buff or speed buff (since it's on the same side as the duo lane). Don't lead people into a bad strategy.
