Discordia Build

Notes Mage blessing, quite a lovely item. If you are unsure , you can just start with the bancroft's talon. I do like it like this because it gives many boosts and let's be fair; Cooldown is just so perfect on Discordia, especially at the beginning .

I don't understand why you've built Spear of the Magus, especially as a last item. I think Obsidian Shard could potentially be more beneficial.

I'm also not so sure I would want Bancroft's Talon, as I usually like to rush Chronos' Pendant or Spear of Desolation for early cooldowns. If you still want some lifesteal, Soul Gem could be an interesting option.

I also think that the new Soul Reaver could work well for her, especially against tanky comps.

I agree on the spear because Dis doesn't have any real ticking damage or DoT. As for Talon, it's probably because your power increases as your health decreases.

One suggestion I would make is to swap out boots of focus for Shoes of the Magi. Both Chronos' Pendant and Spear of Desolation have good cooldowns, plus your blessing has it as well once it's evolved. You'll notice the early pen, especially against squishies.

Rvynn first proposed the spam ability/rush 40% CDR build that we see here as well. It's absolutely effective, because she can really create chaos. That said, I feel it's not carried out as well here. Partially for the early choice of Bancroft's Talon, and partially for Spear of the Magus, as DV-8 and Gulfwulf discussed.

Lifesteal on Discordia isn't all that great. All 3 of her damaging abilities have an AOE effect (fairly certain Golden Apple of Discord counts as AOE), and thus lifesteal is technically only 1/3 as effective for her as single target gods/abilities. In addition, she's not much of a boxer, and can apply most of her damage from good range, so an item like Bancroft's Talon really isn't optimal.

IF I were to consider any healing items at all, it would be Pythagorem's Piece for group function, or perhaps Soul Gem, since it has a separate heal (also can heal teammates) that's independent from the lifesteal coefficient.

I'm down with the idea of building Shoes of the Magi in place of Shoes of Focus, and feel it's the better general choice. I also would hesitate in Arena to build Mage's Blessing...rushing boots feels better most of the time to me. If getting Shoes of the Magi, you can either get the blue mana buff or Potion of Magical Might to max your CDR. With no Mage's and no added mana pool from Focus, you can consider getting Chalice of Mana to help sustain you while you're out, since she can eat through her mana pretty quickly, especially early.

Getting a bit more of the flat pen to go with the later Spear of Desolation is decent for fighting against squishies. In the case that there are significantly more tanks than standard, I would propose considering Obsidian Shard and Soul Reaver (as DV-8 has done), either separate or combined. If not TOO tanky, Soul Reaver, with the new 5.13 adjustment to the Ethereal passive, but with no cooldown, is pretty nice. I'd add on Ob Shard only against the tankiest of comps.
