About

Wazaaaap! This is a guide that explains which how to build which items in order to do insane damage, fast. It has been tested in conquest and arena so far and really rocks :D Also, I explain how I utilize Artemis' skills. I do assume you know the basics of Smite.

Item Development

First off get Devourer's Gloves I, Meditation I and 5 Health potions. This build works for all lanes, though when your side laning - especially solo - you should get Warrior Tabi first. I get Meditation because it costs as much as 5 mana potions, so I rather get this once than keep buying potions or keep going to base/1-2 mins. For farming it is said that abilities shouldn't be used, for preservation of mana, but i use them pretty often in order to damage both the players and minions. This harrassing damage will get them low on health, and when they get cocky, a small nuke is all it takes to bring them down :)
When you reach level 5-8, or whenever you're forced to, go to base and buy Devourer's Gloves II, or III if you have the gold. Occasionally buy health potions to reduce the amount of time you have to waist going back to base. Keep pushing your lane until you destroy a tower and afterwards go assist other lanes and/or gank. Return to your lane when your tower is threatened. As the game progresses, buy the remaining items in that order (if you want you can buy Fatalis earlier, but I think you'll deal more damage early on if you follow the build.

Using Artemis's Skills

Transgressors Fate: This skill lays a rooting trap that roots enemy gods (only gods) that step on it for 2 seconds at all ranks, with negligible DoT - and that is why everyone should level this skill last. This is a Deadly skill when used correctly. When you see someone coming towards you that you know has a leap ability e.g. (Fenrir, Odin) you should lay a trap when they are about in range to use their ability. If you did this correctly, they should land on the trap and get cought. Now, immediately step back and pop Vengeful Assault and start shooting. If you have all the items they should die within 2-3 seconds if they are not a tank or bruiser character. If they try to escape with critical health finish them off by firing Suppress The Insolent in front of them. If you don't have all or most items and/or there are more than 1 enemies, use your ultimate to interrupt them and prevent them from escaping. When you're being chased lay a trap right in front of you without stopping. Most people will keep chasing you in a straight line, so hopefully they'll get caught and leave you be.

Vengeful Assault: This skill increases your attack speed dramatically at high ranks. The duration increases as you level it up to 5 seconds. This is your main damage skill and you need to level it ASAP for ganking purposes. Whenever you need to kill someone or something fast pop this rAm them. If someone comes towards you with half health and tries to kill you because they think they do that much damage, just pop this and fire while backpedaling or even lay a trap. They will die.

Suppress The Insolent: This skill fires a volley or arrows in a circular target area and does fair damage. It is a really good skill for harassing damage in the early game. This skill is also usefull in team fights when enemies stick together and to make someone keep their distance when they're attacking your towers.

Kalydonian Boar: This ability summons a boar that immediately charges any enemy god in the radius and stuns them and itself repeatedly. This a pretty awesome ultimate ability as it can be used in most situations to prevent enemies from fleeing, canceling damaging channeling abilities and aid in your escape if nothing else works. Using this ability to escape is probably the worst way you can use it, but it's alright! If you have to use it it's ok, use it! No humiliation in that. The best way I've found to use this ability is when you are 2v4/3ing and the enemies are chasing your 1 ally with half health. Pop this and Vengeful Assault and hold that left click until you rape them with a quadra/triple kill and save your ally - possibly.

Pros / Cons

Pros:
-Ranged, so can mid lane
-Heavy damage against any enemy god; can 1vs1 effectively if used correctly
-Can be very helpful in team fights with right placement of traps, harassing damage and nuking when appropriate (without diving)
-Very fun to play with once you get the hang of her
-Pretty sweet skins

Cons:
-Generally squishy
-Not an escape artist, tough can escape if necessary with traps, ulti and some luck
-{VVX}

Summary

Artemis is a Carry, Assassin that makes them **** their pants once they see your damage and is therefore a very fun character to play with. Follow the basics, the build and gank causiouly, doing as much trash and tower cleanup as possible meanwhile :P
I'm sorry for not typing out such a detailed and presentable guide, but I'm too bored for that; heh d(^_^)b

Artemis + Max Cooldown = CC Hell. They spend their money and use up slots to get rid of your CC or they die. Period. Either way, Jotun's Wrath insures Pen, CDR, Power, etc. and Hydra's Lament adds to damage as well, which means while they have to mess with their build to get a defense against you, you're just increasing your power. Chumps that don't Max Cooldown and spam transgressor's fate never get to truly experience a good game with Artemis.

I am going to explain some things that are wrong with this build, nothing personal but these things should be considered.

I think getting meditation on Artemis is a very bad choice due to the fact you have no escape, when I play Artemis I like have my calydonian boar and transgressors fate to go offensive and land plays, I also think the aoe damage buff if up to your support to grab if he so chooses. As Artemis you need mobility, I would pick up a sprint for sure the other one depends and what composition I am playing, I would either go with a Aegis or Beads. If you get both items I agree rage definitely comes first hands down. Some combos you can use with Artemis to land kills would be to pop your ult and root right where the player is stunned this will result in up to a 3.5 second chain cc when they are rooted you can drop your suppress the insolent over the top of them but late game I think it is more viable to use vengeful assault and start auto-attacking and if they start getting away that is the time you drop the suppress the insolent and land the kill.

I voted down for 2 reasons:

1. I don't think Meditation is THAT usefull as Artemis doesn't rely much on her abilities (except vengeful assault) but usually you must rely on your basic attack as that's where the damage is going ot be made. You can also always take a mana camp.

2. Why would you first buy Deathbringer and then Rage.
Rage increases the chance of getting crits. Deathbringer increases the damage. Deathbring can only increase damage if you get crits. You can't get crits if you don't have rage. Ofcourse there's still Artemis' passive but it increases the chance only after some succesful basic hits and will go down after a few secs

I like the build than any other because i like dealing critical damage and speed. But i kinda don't like the fatalis. Well it all depends on us who have read your guide :)

I voted up for this because it's really effective :)

Great Build, i use it for Apollo as well. It can be hard for lesser experienced players to start with Devourer's Gloves, so i advise using the Tabi Boots first. Awesome Build though.
