Bakasura, The Great Devourer |
|
I find Bakasura to be a great jungler and all around assassin.I think with the amount of mobility from his passive and his 1 he has crazy gank potential and the true damage from his three gives him great kill potential. His two gives him strong jungle camp secure and gives him strong sustain. I find Bakasura to be one of the best junglers in the game and he has such good potential as an assassin! |
The build I use most often is above this build focuses on maxing out his attack speed to use the true damage from his three as often as possible. This build allows Bakasura to melt any god including tanks in mere seconds. Because i'm jungling i start with Bumba's Mask and two ability items. The two i use most often are Hand of the Gods for extra jungle camp secure when counter jungling and Purification Beads. Another active that I use often is Creeping Curse. I get beads because Hirez still hasn't added CC immunity during his ultimate or his 4, so Purification Beads helps you continue you damage output even while CC from something like a ymir freeze. If i get Creeping Curse it is so i can only get my ult at level 5 and focus on maxing other skills until the last four levels. I build Warrior Tabi for extra penetration and then go into an The Executioner for some early damage to help me gank and clear the jungle. I build Soul Eater next for more attack speed and some lifesteal to help me take a early gold fury. then i move into my Qin's Blades to help me completely blow up tanks and any god I want with even more attack speed and the percent damage. I build Qin's Blades because the passive is so good with a god with high attack speed and true damage like Bakasura. Then I go into Deathbringer to add crazy damage to my build. The last item is often situation based and I sometimes like to go with a bullwark of hope to prevent getting destroyed by a mage late game or a Golden Bow helps add to the cone attack during Bakasura ultimate.
Insatiable Hunger is Bakasura 's passive. Insatiable Hunger gives Bakasura stacks for every minion or god he kills.
It gives you 10% attack speed and movement speed for every stack you receive. Max three stacks. Each stack lasts 10 seconds.
At level one I get Eat Minions . Getting this at level one helps to protect from invades with the added buff secure that comes with the pickup of this skill at level one and gives you a stack on Insatiable Hunger from the last hit on the jungle buff. Getting this at level one also gives you the opportunity to heal and clear the camps faster. At level two I get Butcher Blades in order to help me damage camps and clear the jungle and to help in any early game engagements. At level 3 I get Take Down to help with mobility and early gank potential. After the first three levels my skill order shifts to maxing Butcher Blades first, Eat Minions second, Take Down last and Regurgitate whenever I can. If i build Creeping Curse than I pick up Regurgitate at level 5 and wait until the last four levels to level it up.
Currently Bakasura is rarely used in ranked matches and almost never used in tournaments. (one exception is Wolfy2032) who is a great player formerly a memeber of reason gaming. One reason why Bakasura is not used often is because of how much he can be out played in some situations by other junglers but this can happen to anybody with any god if the enemy is a stronger player but this does push people away from playing Bakasura. Now here is what I think about were Bakasura should be. I feel that many people complain about Regurgitate not having CC immunity but with Purification Beads this almost completely removes the need for that as only so much CC can be used on him during his ult. I also find that his jungle clear is very strong only to be matched by arachne. He has great gank potential and is very underrated in my opinion.
This is a spot where Bakasura falls short. In the very late stages of the game he has a minimal influence in teamfights unless fed(of course if you use this build correctly you will be fed). But in the early game if you have a god like Odin in the solo lane you can easily gank your 1v2 and with the help of odins ult Ring of Spears you can get two easy kills with Butcher Blades and Regurgitate. You can gank pretty much whenever you want with Bakasura with his quick jungle clear and Insatiable Hunger and Take Down. This makes him have deadly presence throughout the game! So essentially Bakasura can be very well if you are playing with a team like I am.Communication is crucial as Bakasura so keep that in mind and stay up to date with your callouts in game! Also as you should with any jungle god remember to purchase and you Ward (s) whenever you can! This is super important!
To sum things up Bakasura is a underrated god with high mobility from both Insatiable Hunger and Take Down ability. Bakasura also has incredible speed when clearing his jungle and is also a strong counter jungler and is good at securing buff camps. I find him to be very underused and he should be used more than he currently. Bakasura is also very good at killing tanks if you use the build that I use that focuses on getting as high of an attack speed to abuse the true damage from Butcher Blades as much as possible. Bakasura can blow up almost any god during the mid game and he has a very strong burst of damage coming from Butcher Blades .
This guide is still a work in progress as i need to mess around with the BBCoding and make sure that all of my images are up to date and I will update whenever it is necessary.
7/2/13-started guide and published.
7/3/13-Added some BBCoding for items and skills and just some spelling fixes
One of my favorite gods if not my favorite god is Bakasura. I'm a big fan of him and the jungle role in general. This is why I play the jungle role for my new team Counterpick gaming. Speaking of the team we are recruiting for a mid laner and a right lane ranged AD carry right now. We are planing to do tournaments as soon as possible and you can bet that I am going Bakasura in it! Thanks for reading my first guide and hope that you learned a lot and enjoyed reading it! I would appreciate if you left a comment or gave me any type of feedback.
