Hi, I am Roro and this is my first Guide.
First of all I have to point out that english isn't my first language therefore I apologize for the grammatical mistakes and the lack of vocabulary.
I chose Bakasura, the great devourer because it's so much fun to play with him :)
I'm sure you're dying to play as soon as possible, so I won't waste your precious time with gibberish talk.. let's get to the real thing!
Bakasura is a Jungle/Assassin God, who relies on his attack speed and high damage output.
I tried to create a build that has a nice balance between these two main stats.
Your main goal is to control the buff camps and gank when it's needed, but this God is also viable to push lanes mid/late game.
First of all I think we should talk about pros and cons.
PROS
PASSIVE
INSATIABLE HUNGER
Bakasuras attack speed increases by 4% for each enemy that he kills. The buff lasts for 10 seconds and can stack up to 5 times.
I think most of the people who play Bakasura don't pay much attention to this passive, but it can pay off really well in some cases. Because of it's 10 seconds duration this passive buff can give you a high advantage in situations like:
-pushing a lane
-getting attacked when pushing a lane
With 5 stacks up you have 20% AS bonus, which is a quite useful thing in both cases.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
1ST SKILL
TAKE DOWN
Bakasura leaps to his ground target location, doing 100 / 160 / 220 / 280 / 340 (+60% of your physical power) physical damage to all enemies in the area and reducing their damage done by 30% for 3 seconds.
Cost: 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 mana.
Cooldown: 12 s.
This skill is -although not unique in smite- is super! It provides a moderate amount of damage, reduces the hit enemies' damage, and can be used to escape!
Not only that, but also provides you faster ways to get a buff because from the side of your lane you can jump right into a camp (hurting them and lowering their damage). Jump in, kill, get back to lane in no time! The enemy won't even notice you're gone, so you don't have to worry about getting ganked while you're on a camp.
You can escape or engage a battle with this, or if the enemy god got away somehow you can make this skill your finishing move due to it's damage.
This ability gets maxed out second.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
2ND SKILL
EAT MINIONS
Eat Minions Bakasura grabs a minion and devours it, healing himself for 100 / 150 / 200 / 250 / 300 (+100% of your physical power) and gaining a 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35% movement speed buff for 5 seconds. Buff wielding minions must be at 33% health to be consumed. Up to 6 minions are stored for Regurgitate.
Cost: 75 mana.
Cooldown: 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 s.
This skill makes Bakasura the fastest jungler on early levels.
After you've got rid of the ads, you get the buff wearing minion down to <33%, and bon app©tit. I'll explain the details later.
So this skill has a use when jungling, but it also heals you, and -what most players forget- gives you a movement speed buff for 5 seconds, which can come handy when running after or away from an enemy god.
This skill gets the first point, but gets maxed last.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
3RD SKILL
BUTCHER BLADES
Bakasura passively gains 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 physical power. When activated, he gains an additional 10 / 25 / 40 / 55 / 70 true damage on each strike for 6 seconds.
Cost: 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 mana.
Cooldown: 14 s.
This ability is your treasure chest. It has a passive physical power buff, and when activated you get TRUE DAMAGE on each strike for 6 seconds. That means that damage is there on each strike no matter how much defense the other God has. With this it should be no problem to surprise confident tanks and make them retreat or even die.
For these features this is your first skill to max.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
4TH SKILL (ULTIMATE)
REGURGITATE
Bakasura exposes his head, regurgitating all of the minions consumed by his Consume Minion ability at his ground target location that slows enemy players by 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35%. Bakasuras basic attacks become cone attacks for 6 seconds.
Cost: 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 / 120 mana.
Cooldown: 90 s.
Alright, so this is his ulti, while the regurgitated minions' barely hurt, the aoe slow makes it easy to slaughter your enemies with your now ranged (although short ranged) normal attacks. If you pop your Butcher Blades with this, well you're a killing machine!
Also the more minions you've eaten with eat minions the better this skill is.
HAND OF THE GODS
Using this item damages nearby enemy minions, jungle camps and the Minotaur. While on cooldown, your basic attacks on minions deal +20 damage and heal you for +10 health.
Cooldown 90s.
This item is a must have for a jungler. It does 600 damage to minions. Also when on cooldown it helps you get back the health you lost on getting a buff.
Note: Hand of the Gods doesn't do damage to Gods.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
WARRIOR TABI
+30 Physical Power
+6% Attack Speed
+6% Critical Strike Chance
+21% Movement Speed
Notes: Speed does not stack with other boots.
This item is a starter and prioritized to max out early due to the stats it gives. Most of the people start off with some kind of boots, so having this is a must. On the other hand you get physical power, attack speed and crit chance which makes Warrior Tabi look like it was made just for you.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
THE EXECUTIONER
+30 Physical Power
+20% Attack Speed
-20 Physical Protection stacking debuff on basic hit target, up to 3.
The Executioner is your second best friend. It provides you both of the main stats you want to go for. Also not as expensive as some items you'll have to buy and the Physical Protection stacking debuff makes it perfect for you. Have this as your second item.
NOTE: I prefer to buy AND max this after I bought Warrior Tabi level2 and max out the boots after this one, but it's just a matter of personal playstyle and preference of course. Alternatively you can finish Warrior Tabi first and go for The Executioner second.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
QIN'S BLADES
+30 Physical Power
+150 Health
+25% Attack Speed
30% chance on basic hit vs gods to deal 10% of target's max health as magic.
This Item gives health and boosts your attack speed hugely. Not to mention it's passive, which is a nightmare for every tank. With this, and Butcher Blades you'll be a tank-ripper.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
WITCH STONE
WITCH STONE
+45 Physical Protection
+15 Physical Power
+15% Attack Speed
+250 Health
-15% Attack Speed & -25 Physical Power to enemies in 30 ft radius.
Alright, so this item choice was tough, but I decided to go with witch stone because it doesn't just give your two most wanted stats, but also provides more sustainability which -let's be honest- Bakasura lacks. It's passive improves your chances in close up fights.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
ANKH OF THE GOLEM
15% Lifesteal
15% Attack speed
300 Health
PASSIVE - You gain physical power equal to 1.5% of your maximum health.
I chose Ankh of the Golem because with Bakasura's high damage and attack speed, lifesteal (and some more health) can come really handy if we are talking about sustainability. But we don't want to just survive, we want to kill and survive, so there they are, the attack speed (again, after this we're like some chopping machine) and the passive, which is -if you went with this build- 39 attack power.
NOTE: It's not a must to grab witch stone before Ankh of the Golem, your choice, I like it this way.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
DEATHBRINGER
+50 Physical Power
+20% Critical Strike Chance
+50% Critical Strike Damage
This will give your damage the last boost it needs. I chose to get this last because it is the most expensive physical power item in the game. But it surely worth it.
If it is possible call left jungle as soon as possible before the game starts. Right after you've picked Bakasura.
Start:
So at the start of the game you immediately buy Hand of the Gods and Warrior Tabi(rank1).
You will still have 50g which is just about the price of a potion, if you are not so sure about yourself you can get one, but in my opinion you will not need it.
After you have those items head to the left jungle to the blue camp. After the minions have spawned you have 10 seconds until the buff camps spawn.
NOTE: Look out for countercampers, there are occasions when the enemy team predicts that you will go to left blue camp and try to kill you / steal your buff. It's even better if your lanemate watches jungle for you while you get the buff (not as it would take long). You can also try to countercamp the left side, but note that they have green buff there, so check on enemy team if there is a possibility that they would go for it.
Getting the camp buff:
So when the minions spawn at the camp, use your Hand of the Gods, but use it wisely, because it has a short range, so position yourself the way they all get hurt.
This will kill both of the adds, leaving the buff wearing minion damaged. ~4 hits and you can use your eat minions. Done. In seconds.
Now head out to help your lane partner and farm while Hand of the Gods is on Cooldown. While you do so check out your enemies on the lane. Do any of them have the HP buff?
If yes:
Your next goal -when your Hand of the Gods is off cooldown- is either Movement or Damage buff. If your lane is pushed back, the safer choice would be Movement, but if the lane is around midde or you succesfully pushed them back, go for the Damage. Jump through the wall in the middle, Hand of the Gods, auto attack, Eat Minion, jump/run back to lane.
If no:
Your next goal is to get the HP buff when your Hand of the Gods is off cooldown. Simply sneak up in the jungle while they are busy with the lane and your lanepartner. Although this is a bit risky, it's also more rewarding. Having the HP buff early is a huge advantage. With it you can take on the buff camps without having to use Hand of the Gods. So after you grabbed HP obviously your next move would be immediately getting the Damage buff.
NOTE: Most of the time (except for the HP buff on left side early game, and your first buff) you should grab the buff by jumping through the walls. This way while you might draw attention to your actions, you are done so fast they cannot react by counterjungling.
Also you shouldn't be waiting in one of the jungle entrances to gank, but commute between getting the buffs you need and helping your lane push and kill your lane enemies.
Later in the game you have to maintain the buff camps, and look for possible ganks on the other lanes.
NOTE: Whenever you leave your lane, warn your lane partner that you are either going into the jungle (VVVJ) or leaving for a gank (VG#number)+(VC1).
When the laning phase ends you can grab some wards, and ward fire giant and gold fury, and get them with your team whenever the opposite team has at least 2 deaths, so they cant surprise you. Also if you see that they are approaching any of these, call your team, and try to steal their buff/gold.
In early game you should always pay attention to enemy minions, because you are squishy and they hit hard.
But if you see an opportunity, for let's say having an enemy artemis just behind their archers farming, with 3/4 health, Eat Minion (speed) Take Down on her (and on the archers), Butcher Blades slash her twice or thrice, but pay attention to his lane partner also, you don't want to die early. Leaving her badly wounded, making her recall is good enough.
In mid game your eyes will be on the minimap for buffs and for ganking opportunities. If you see one of your lanes pushed back hard, gank that lane! Help out here, help out there, you are fed. Just don't let your lane partner lose your lane.
How to Gank? Approach from the back, Eat Minion if it wouldn't reveal you too soon, Butcher Blades, Regurgitate, they are dead. If not, finish them with Take Down.
Or you can start with Take Down, but I prefer to have it ready for a chase.
In late game when the laning phases end, your team shall group up. Always be aware that while you mostly win on 1v1 fights when you approach from the side or the back (or even from the front), you are still squishy, and not a tank. Charging into a group of 3-5 with the hope of an easy kill would end up a disaster.
Stay put, not in the front, but in the back, when the fight starts, you might as well wait for a few ultis to pop up, just to be safe, then get in and slash them in two. Also try to save your Take Down for emergency escapes.
So this would be my Bakasura guide, I hope you've learned something or got an idea from it.
