Build Summary

Starter

Notes Vampiric Shroud is the obvious choice of starters if we're aiming to max out our lifesteal
I recommend choosing Aegis Amulet for your relic due to the lack of mobility in Anubis' kit. With Purification Beads, even if you use them you are likely going to die while running.

Full Build

Notes Sacrificial Shroud's passive makes it very strong in this build. More damage = more lifesteal, who cares if we lose some HP.
Bancroft's Claw recently got buffed, and it was already a very strong item for Anubis.
Spear of Desolation will help you get your wrap up more often.
Spear of the Magus's passive ability makes your 1-3 combo even more deadly. Plus, more lifesteal.
Typhon's Fang is obvious, more lifesteal.
Perfected Rod of Tahuti provides a large power spike and more cooldown reduction.
For your second relic, I would choose between Temporal Beads and Scorching Blink Rune. Blink is going to make you more aggressive, but you may get hard CC'd and die before you can lifesteal. You have been warned.

Anubis's Skill Order Notes Before the latest patch, I would've recommended fully upgrading your Mummify much sooner, but now that it is always a 2s stun, there's no real reason to do so.

Extended Build

Introduction

Hi, I'm IHateZeus. I've been playing Smite for a couple years now and have just started getting into this whole "guide" thing. Anubis has always been one of my favorite gods, and is currently my most-played god.

Summary (A Warning)

Hey so I'm calling this a warning because this build is pretty much entirely for fun and messing around with more lifesteal than anyone would ever need. However, I always say that the only way to counter antiheal is to build more lifesteal. In all reality, this build will get wiped by a competent team and you will not have much fun. If you're looking for a build for a ranked game, I would not advise using this one. If I feel inspired I may post a more serious Anubis guide later. I also want to say that I don't recommend play Anubis solo as he is insanely easy to counter and to gank, as I mentioned in his list of threats. Play him at your own risk. VVGF.

Adding more lifesteal works until it doesn't because the enemy's decent at building, recognizes there's an Anubis on the enemy team and builds some anti-heal. That anti-heal then works to counter not just 1 or 2 items that Anubis typically gets, but all 4 of the lifesteal items you built, making the build at that point extremely inefficient stat-wise.

Yes, Typhon's Fang helps counter that to an extent unless healing is basically completely shut down, but remember he also has his passive. I would drop at least SotM because you don't need it, and even consider dropping Bancroft, though it can be nice to have. Consider grabbing more CDR.

I completely agree, any competent team will wreck this build, and as such this is just a fun casual build, it's not really something I recommend using in a ranked scenario (maybe I should include that in the summary lmao). I may post a more serious Anubis build in the future, but as is ever present in my posted guides I kind of just post random builds that I find funny and enjoyable.
