This is a universal build for all game modes. Mix and match the above items for the best result. Also this is not a tank build but a damage build that can survive in a group fight for a short amount of time.
I like these item combinations for the reason that Odin's standard attacks are slow and cause him to move quite slowly, so normally his leap is the main way to deal damage. Hastened Fatalis in combination with Frostbound Hammer allows Odin to use his standard attack without enemy gods out running him. The Hide of the Urchin gives some defence so he can take a little more punishment, and in combination with Jotunn`s Wrath allow odin to have a good mana pool for sustainment.
If life steal is need bloodforge is great due to not have to lose too much Physical Power.
The Executioner is a good item to have if Guardians or Warriors are trying to counter you with Physical Protection Items.
Malice is a great item if none others are needed and you want that extra omf in you strike. Odin`s high damage allows Malice to grant really high DOT damage when you get crits and it packs a punch.
The Skill order is not set in stone and can be altered based on situations and team comps. But it's always good to build up Lunge and Raven`s Shout early as you can decimate all gods with the burst in early game, which will allow for an early lead in gold.
Over all, your basic attack with this build will be the main source of damage output once you're fully built. As you will be able to hit hard, fast and keep up with any god who is running without the help of actives. At end game your Leap and Raven`s Shout combo should be held as a finisher or group attack.
Pros: You can keep up with all gods in speed while attacking and you will hit like a truck quite often.
Cons: You will not be able to sustain as much damage as a tankier build would, so you have to be mindful of your surroundings. Ganks can be quite lethal and it`s recommended you place wards in conquest to avoid Ganks.
Actives are also great for escaping and chasing so build situationally.
Dont over pursue, play safe and you will destroy your opponents 1 v 1 in late game.

And as for the reason for Frostbound in the build is while Gungnir's Might does apply a slow its not for very long and the cooldown means it cannot be reapplied consecutively which allows many players to simply outrun Odin's attacks. This allows you to keep them slowed so long as you can hit them. Runeforged is a great item and I am a fan. But the reason it's omitted from the build is due to lack of Physical Protection items, where Runeforged really shines. You can put it in but I find the Frostbound works better with the build in conjunction with Hastened Fatalis. With the two combined you can pretty much do circles around your opponents as they try to run from you, making you a harder target to hit when your abilities are on cooldown.
