Intro:

Ok, so I've been playing Freya for a few days, and I've found that I am most confident with her when she has SPEED. At lvl 20, this build gives 2.08 attack speed and 531 movement speed. Along with that, the other stats are:

Atk Spd: +80%
Move Spd: +10%
Cool Red: +15%
Phys Pwr: +60
Health: +400
Mag Pwr: +195
Mana: +250
MP5: +15

PASSIVE - Each basic attack hit increases your movement and attack speed by 3% for 3 seconds (max. 4 stacks).
Using this item heals the owner's mana by 75% of their maximum mana and gives them 15 MP5 for 15 seconds. Cooldown - 120s.
UNIQUE - +28% Speed while in combat / +40% Speed while out of combat (Speed does not stack with other boots).
PASSIVE - Your basic attacks reduce your target's Magical Protection by 7% and an additional 5 points for 3 seconds (max 3 stacks).
PASSIVE - On basic attack hits, deal physical damage equal to 2.5% of the target's maximum health. This only affects gods.
PASSIVE - Enemies hit by your damaging abilities will move 25% slower for 2 seconds.
PASSIVE - Increases magical power by 25%.

I love this. With it, I can run in, do a lot of damage, slow them a lot, and be so fast that they'll have few chances to hit me. This is the only way I can play aggressive, and that is to be faster than the enemy and do a lot of damage in a short amount of time.
COMMENT! I MUST HAVE OPINION!

Middle Lane:

I'm not a fan of using Freya in mid lane, especially if she's up against a ranged AD. In that case, I'm going to lose horribly. Any other type of God and I'll do relatively well. Nevertheless, sometimes people get stuck on mid lane and I might just want to do so as Freya. The starter items give:

Atk Spd: +30%
Move Spd: +10%
Mag Pwr: +50
Mag Prot: +60

PASSIVE - Each basic attack hit increases your movement and attack speed by 3% for 3 seconds (max. 4 stacks).
AURA - Reduces the Magical Protection of enemies within 55 feet by 25.

The tank-specific items give:

Cool Red: +15%
Health: +150
Phys Pwr: +30
Atk Spd: +25%

UNIQUE - +28% Speed while in combat / +40% Speed while out of combat (Speed does not stack with other boots).
PASSIVE - On basic attack hits, deal physical damage equal to 2.5% of the target's maximum health. This only affects gods.

The non-tank specific items give:

Cool Red: +15%
Phys Pwr: +30
Atk Spd: +25%

UNIQUE - +28% Speed while in combat / +40% Speed while out of combat (Speed does not stack with other boots).
PASSIVE - Your basic attacks reduce your target's Magical Protection by 7% and an additional 5 points for 3 seconds (max 3 stacks).

The end-game items give:

Mag Pwr: +195
Health: +250
Mana: +250
MP5: +15

PASSIVE - Enemies hit by your damaging abilities will move 25% slower for 2 seconds.
PASSIVE - Increases magical power by 25%.

It works. More tanky, a bit more damage, but more situational.

Personally I prefer to have some speed, early game is more about staying alive than it is trying to get that first kill as Freya, save that for 5+ once you have your ultimate, by which time you should be on your second item and easily able to get a gank with Valkyrie's Discretion

I just put my main build up, more about surviving by way of not being hit in the first place and ganking with speed. https://www.smitefire.com/smite/guide/freya-making-them-rage-1345

With freya i almost always go demonic grip because almost all of her damage comes from basic attacks. You dont really need polynomicon on freya, her magical power is never high enough and she already gets 20% lifesteal from her 1st and 2nd ability. Fatalis is hit or miss, its a great attack speed and movement speed buff but at the same time it gives no magical or physical power, if i get fatalis its always later in the game not the first item due to the attack speed early game to really be insubstantial. Like with odins shout, i always level it last because the 50% attack speed is so much better mid-late game due to everyone having 1+ attack speed already, because you start with freya at a pretty low attack speed and +35% of a low attack speed isnt much untill level 10+
