Hi guys - this is gonna be my first guide, so tell me if I'm doing anything wrong ^.^
So personally, I'm not going to say that I'm a super pro Freya player (as some other guides do), but I've found that this build I came up has helped a lot of people get into Freya and her kit.
So, I don't know about you guys, but I've seen a lot of newbies trying out Freya with her recommended build. A lot of them tend to struggle with the aim due to the removed auto attack debuff with fatalis and the increased movement speed that results from it.
Hence, you'll see that most of my builds contain Gem of Isolation instead. The slow applied on enemies really helps them aim, and the build relatively maintains the late game carry potential of most other builds with fatalis in it.
Furthermore, the chase potential is about the same with the continued slow from Gem applying on all buffed auto attacks, and the telekhines ring making up for the lost attack speed from the fatalis.
While you do lose your movement speed, this makes it much easier to aim, especially for those just getting into Freya.
Lastly, Freya is rather notorious for her late game turn on switch. While this means she destroys the late game, it also means that her early to mid game is close to nonexistent. The telekhines ring negates this as it gives an extra 30 damage to her auto attacks, slowing the need for magical power items that can increase her auto attack damage through scaling.
Sanctuary and purification are core for survival.
Sanctuary allows damage immunity for a certain period of time. Use this to negate big incoming damage when necessary.
Purification allows for CC immunity for a certain period of time. This serves almost the same purpose as sanctuary - use it to get out of undesired CC. Do note, however, that this does not nullify damage, so damage effects will still apply.
Sprint
Allows for chase potential for both your team and you. Gotta go fast.
Sunder
Does true damage and reduces enemy protections to allow for easier killing time :D
A combo that Freya can use to set sunder up is to banish and then sunder on the fall
Furthermore, the added slow from your auto attacks help to set this up too
Phantom
This relic is really situational. Use it when you know player made walls will be a big problem (e.g. Odin ult, Cabrakan ult). For a short duration, you can just walk out of the walls instead of having to burn your ult, saving you during times when your ult is on cooldown.
This also makes you pass through minions and other players, so if you find yourself stuck on minions while escaping, pop this and walk right on through.
The basic idea is to turn Freya into more of a hunter and to help with aiming. When in fights, use your pulse and start whacking away. The slow that comes out from the pulse should allow for much easier aiming. Try it out and see how it works ^.^
When you find yourself caught or in trouble, there's a few ways she can get out.
If a enemy is chasing you, use your banish to lift them up, then immediately turn and start running. Note that banish has a short delay before it casts, so cast it where you think someone is going to be instead of directly at someone's feet.
Another way is to just use your ultimate. While up in the air, you are untargetable by most skills. Use the ult duration to fly off to safety. Do note, however, that damage over time effects still do damage while in the air. (e.g. Loki's vanish) Furthermore, aimed projectiles will also do damage to you either in the air or upon landing. (e.g. Neith's world weaver)
Try this out and tell me whether it works out for you guys or any of your friends ^.^

You have an interesting idea for people just getting into Freya. Gem of Isolation provides a bit of health, and the slow is functional when you have both Pulse and Irradiate active, and is the only real alternative of any type when you don't build Hastened Fatalis.
I do personally feel just diving into Hastened Fatalis is best. It's absolutely core to her kit in any mode, so I think forcing it into a newer player's kit will get them up to speed the quickest. But again, this is an alternative way, and it's a different way of thinking, and I applaud that.
I'm not sure Spear of Desolation is a good item for her. Especially for a newer player, having to pay 3,800 gold (and being delayed from completing a full build specifically because of the cost) can be a hindrance. The 20 flat pen is nice. The heightened power isn't as essential as Tahuti, as it offers less power overall, and her scaling isn't the greatest to begin. The passive might be functional for her ult, but her cooldowns for her main 2 abilities are short enough that you lose efficiency from it to some degree.
To the same degree considering power/scaling, the extra power from Bancroft's Talon probably won't help a newer player as much as the significantly higher lifesteal from Pythagorem's Piece, not to mention the CDR and aura for other magical teammates.
If Demonic Grip is in fact core for your build, you might consider dropping Obsidian Shard, as the % protection reduction makes the % penetration lose some efficiency...unless it is specifically situational for objective takedown, in which case, it's not necessarily as bad of an idea as some make it out to be...e.g. people saying "NEVER build Demonic + Obsidian."
One other thing I'd suggest...you don't mention which mode this is for. Always best to mention this at the beginning. I assume this isn't for Conquest, since you don't talk about starting items, and your skill leveling order wouldn't work in that mode. But for all other modes where you start at level 3 or higher, your skill order is fine.
Anyway, this is a cool idea, and anything that helps get people interested in Freya is cool by me. Hope you don't mind my comments, and hope they're helpful if anything.
I agree with you on the other points, though, especially for Hastened Fatalis. Any slow immunity will make it impossible for you to chase, and attack speed is better on Freya than power.
Also, I think that Shoes of Focus' CDR is going to be a waste if you don't build into more of it. Shoes of the Magi's penetration is going to be a lot more damaging, and CDR isn't good until you have 20-30% of it.
