This is kinda what i've been planning lately into jungle although things change from matchup to matchup this is still something to look into..... yes i put med in there i like it still lmao
Tap each threat level to view Bastet’s threats
Counterpick items all for their own good
Bloodforge: killing too much? grab this to get even more ballsy
Blackthorn Hammer: have good damage but want a little tiny more health to survive a bit more grab this
Cadeus shield: With soul eater and no enemy anti heal is a nasty combo
Dominance?: if you struggle really hard don't build trans and go for the Dominance to save the gold to quickly rush into the next item hope your natural Bastet Damage pops off dance with your opponent body block and trap them so you can beat them with the 25% pen on basics
Heartseeker: For tanks with too much health (Bastet struggles with tanks and shields)
Serrated Edge: get it for the high percentage pen and movement speed it will make whip ticks stronger as you cast more abilities too
Void shield: More tank with close up pen for a more up face playstyle mostly for tanks tbh
If you need to ask more questions or wanna watch gameplay to see where i'm coming from i'll post this here

Starting off with med you don't have to do this although I do it every game and still firmly believe this item alone has won me plenty of matches since it runs behind a mindset gameplay pattern instead of a press aegis to stop one ability we can have this argument on why take med over blink and aegis but it solely depends on if you are good or not, the match up and how comfortable you are in it, plus your values on every relic in the game
Why don't you upgrade the ult? well this is just the same scenario as Bastet ult in the last rework it simply does not do enough damage to change a factor the ult after calculations does 70 more damage comparing if you upgrade it or not you should be using it as cc and that's it maybe a little extra damage to kill but nether less you can ignore my numbers it's your choice but I would prefer more damage in abilities coming out of 7 second cooldowns than 48 especially when soon the cooldown will be nerfed on the ult
I have always warned people about using Arondight on Bastet in the past after ulting for the 8 second duration it would than proc Arondight but it kinda felt like an item to kill the stragglers than to really cause a boom... but now that Arondight procs after you fire your ult I can finally say it's worth building alot now it's not just 25 damage like crusher or 76 for Heartseeker on tanks it's 110 on EVERYONE plus it gives cooldowns although expensive I say it's kinda worth
Ideally eye of the jungle and bumbas are the only two items you should use no sceptor no bluestone no rush items start no jungle blessing you get two options and i'll explain them individually and the meta in the past
Eye of the jungle used to be the better starter in my opinion but after a few buffs to Bumbas it is now the second pick item but can still be run properly going into the tree the left side of the tree is the more ranked conquest item letting you deward for 15 mins straight in the ideal spot 20 mins in with the item everyone should be warding fire giant that's 4 wards minimum in a masters match you kill one camp and walk your silly cat features over to fire giant deward everything not only to steal their eyes but to also help you flank better and even better 250 gold don't forget sentry wards will be there too and sentry wards are more pricey to lose for a team good money and farm now in casuals not everyone will be warding like psychopaths that's where this item loses value so in my opinion use this for ranked only
Eye of the jung third path is a much better brute force path I used to run it every game when we first started the season the ability to gain percentage for damage and defense is no joke and is simple to use Bastet was truly queen of the jungle with this item as she stalked so if you want that playstyle make sure you abuse the passive and play aggressively in the jungle.
Bumbas starter i'll make this quick it's the better selection now since Bastet rework we lost her speed passive meaning beating lvl 2's to death is no longer a viable strategy with the healing I prefer to go into hammer than spear as having cooldowns is more rewarding and stronger than power considering you should be all power items in the first place. If you prefer Spear over Hammer go for it Spear is more of a meta pick but from my stand point I would like the hammer cooldowns into attack cancel spam.
The build in the perfect scenario goes Jotuns, Trans, Soul Eater, Arondight, counter build after that Jotuns is for 20% cooldown meaning your ult is 64% cooldown letting you steal beads and hunt better. Trans is for mana sustain, power, and cooldown making you 56 sec cooldown on ult. Soul Eater is more cooldown plus abusing your lifesteal to heal plenty having more sources of income is always better than one although don't buy this item if you're behind go for something like anti heal or crusher. Arondight is the final strong punch in the fight the nail in the coffin giving 5 people 110 damage in itself is 500 damage at least but the problem is we are overcapped now is that a problem? no not really we bought all these items for passives alone not just cooldowns although that is a massive benefit to Bastet play style you shouldn't worry about overcapping cooldowns if you know the items give good passives even than late game we can always trade the Jotuns for something else since 500 gold potion also gives us 10% cooldown too.
Now we need to talk about the real scenario you're gonna want anti heal of course if they don't have any healing go the paragraph above and use that layout but if they do if they have an anubis mid going full lifesteal you must build Jotuns Than Brawlers Beatstick to counter them Bastet does good damage to negate any healing someone makes but if their team heals after heal after heal after heal there comes a time where all those numbers stack up to heal more than you damage. If you can kill them before they heal if you can't? Build anti heal simple as that
scene 1: Ult opponent while running into wall the cat will place them right there properly place cat on one side and step to the opposite direction your opponent is now trapped against the wall add team to combo a still opponent to properly execute someone out of the match
scene 2: Ult while middle of lane get in front of the way you predict the opponent will go use three to block one side and dodge to the other side blocking them since they're slow they would have to step more into sand trap to walk around proceed to bodyblock and follow them until they die. Risk: staying still means opponents team will damage you too make sure you kill your opponent before their team kills you than hightail it out
scene 3: If your not sure you can hit the ult use your three to root if fast enough you can hit your ult and even than if your slow the cat will still bite to slow the opponent making it easier once they get grabbed attack as they approach you once they land get in front of their exit and body block them for as long as you can the opponent will take 4 ticks walking out normally (360 damage) but with bodyblocking you can get maybe even 5 to 7 ticks plus your team should properly attack on you as you dance with your opponent
Reminder please don't forget to always bodyblock with your cat in EVERY FIGHT jump ahead and simply root to proper stand point even the slightest delay could mean the death of an opponent
Read last guide for special tips and videos to understand body blocking and specific stuff like dragon cancel, cat thud, and other cool tricks too lazy to copy and paste I know most won't read this but this is from what a GM Bastet has figured out and performed in real games so far.
I will post more videos explaining scenario 1 through 3 in jungle practice but if you wanna see real scenarios just watch my games and you can probably see where i'm coming from with these I mostly prefer doing scenario 3 as cat root to slow mostly makes sure I can hit the ult in the first place
Good bye and thank you for reading.
