Susano's is known for having skill that go very well together. One to thing to note is that you can make up as many combos as you want, but it is essential that you understand that fact that you can delay your dash in your 1st ability to use it last ( especially after another ability).
Susano's Skills are probably one of the most complex in the entire game which I personally find him interesting to play and why I find him viable in the middle lane. Susano's 1st ability is Storm Kata which is a skill with a sequence of 3 ability in 1. This is the main reason why many players find Susano very "OP" and "Broken" to play. But in my opinion it isn't broken at all, Many players will find susano's 1st ability to be confusing. The 1st sequence is an attack which damages all enemies in a form of a cone. While the 2nd sequence is a attack that damages all enemies that is in a certain distance from him. Finally the 3rd sequence is a dash which does absolutely no damage. But what is MOST important about his 1st ability is that you have the choice to delay his dash and use it at a different time to pull off some really sick plays and escape without taking unnecessary damage.
Now Susano's 2nd ability is a pull that does damage. Its not really and important skill and that's why I personally max it out last and its really for either gap closing or initiating a 1v1 or a 2v1 or a team fight in general. Susano's 3rd ability, Jet Stream, is a projectile cloud that can either stay in the spot you throw it too or stick to enemies. The main reason why i enjoy this skill so because it gives off DPS and you can also teleport too it ( almost like Lee sin from League of Legends). This skill is the skill you will need to pull off most of those sick plays.
Now Susano can be very mana hungry and mana reliant. meaning that he will have to start off with an item like charged morning star and 3 hp pots and 3 mana pots similar to the adc trans start. The main reason why we want to to stack up on mana and hp pots is so you can sustain against the mid who will most likely be a Mage. Going against mages will get you poked out so its very essential that you keep your distance and try to poke as much as possible. Now for the next item many norms may question it But yes, You will have to build reinforced greaves for sustain to at least farm and not get damaged as much as if you went warrior tabi. But go ahead and roll with Warrior tabi if you want more damage ( its just my personal opinion why I mainly go reinforced greaves). The next item is really a choice. I was would personally get jotunn's wrath for early CDR so you can spam your 1 and 3 to out poke the enemy mid. And the rest of the items is really your choice, I would personally build some damage and a defense item that gives you a good amount of CDR or mana.
The main reason I even thought of susano mid is mainly because im really sick and tired of Smite's Force play. Basically what I mean by that is, That only MAGES can go mid and only ASSASIN'S can go jungle and only WARRIORS can go solo. But doing a bit of research, I have found multiple "Flex picks" That are similar to Chronos. WIth the release of Susano, being one of the few god I actually enjoy ( mainly because his mechanics are really fun to use) He can go almost everywhere except duo lane. With his first skill, he can practically clear a wave without an hassle. His 2nd ability makes it very easy to set up a delicious kill for either you or the jungler that happens to gank you lane at the time. And your 3rd ability making it so easy to pull off sick plays that are similar to a champion in League of legends named Lee sin. And last but not least, his ultimate. His ultimate can set up so many fights or even aid then with the amount of cc it gives off.
Finally that is the completed Susano mid guide. I didn't really go over Ranked Play with him ( mainly because he isn't available in ranked atm). But over its mainly just to have fun and to go against Smites infamous Force play. Hope you guys enjoyed my guide ( its my first) and have fun!
