Hello my name is Carter45 I'm a kali main, I love it kali is a devastating character at all stages of the game as long as you understand how to use her and the extent of her damage. Besides like if your looking for a reason to pick kali ask yourself this question: " do I want a unstoppable and unkillable killing monstrosity that only gets stronger as the game progresses on my team?" The answer should be yes.
PROS
- high single target damage
- Huge sustain
- some mobility and cc
- bonus gold
- 5 seconds of pure **** you
CONS
- squishy as hell
- difficult to learn
- rough early game if u don't know what you're doing
- slight delay on your ultimate
- ez to be focused/ cc chained
On kali boots and ichival are must haves on kali, GET THEM ONLINE ASAP, They are her entire early game damage and she will be useless without them. But late game ichival won't be worth much so you sell it for o bow
Qins are Kali's main damage item, the rest of her build is just attack speed and utility to make it more effective, you will shred everything no matter how tanky late game you will 3 hit squishys and chew through tanks.
Fatalis is needed to stick to everyone because you will be at a point where people will simply try to run away instead of fighting.
Stone cutting is a perfect mix of everything you need as kali, tankiness, power, move speed, protection shred.
Titans bane is there to take out that last little bit of hope anyone who tried to counter build against you.
Ok so the start your gonna want to play more or less passive and farm up for boots + ichival through xp and gold leech plus jungle camps. After you have those 2 items feel free to switch to hyper agressive and hunt your target like a dog with rabbies.
Start with your solo lane at blue, do that and boars then rush to mid to contest mid camp.
Mid camps are crucial and probably one of the most important camps to consistently get if you want to win.To contest the camps with kali is hard however, there are 3 ways to accomplish it.
1. Steal it at range with your 2
2. Go in stun the enemy and steal it while they are stunned
3. BEST CHOICE OVER ALL** have a strong early to mid game god in mid and use them to carry you to lvl 5 and help them steal the camps.
The next step is to lane with your mid and fall back inbetween mid waves to clear the back harpys and buffs if they are up. Your going to want to do this until you are level 5 with boots and ichival, you really don't do much without a lot of help from your mid lane friend until you have those 3 things. Do this even if your team is complaining it will pay off in the long run you can't help them until you have boots, ichival and ultimate.
After you have those go ham on whoever your target is or if there is a lane that really needs help, just cycle gank your targets if you think you can get a kill. But remember Kali NEEDS farm so if the kills are not happening clear your jungle when it's up and help lanes when they ask for it and wait till the late game.
Kali can carry a game all on her own in a 1v5, but thats extremely hard to do and you really need to know what your doing to accomplish that. So Kali has teammates that can make that job a lot easier.
Friends:
Aphrodite: Aphrodite is probably the best mid lane while being paired with a kali. She brings soo much more survivability to kali it's a perfect babysitter for any kali that doesn't know how to abuse the built in sustain in her kit.
Any guardian with hard cc and a strong engage ( khumba, fat loki, athena, khepri...etc.) its a good distraction so you can get on their carrys and the tank will last awhile because its a tank, giving you time to kill the entire enemy team.
early game burst mages, kali really needs this if your team wants any hope of contesting any camp or objective early. best ones are ( Agni, isis, janus, ra)
Foes:
Any thing with a stun especially a chain stun, just stay away from those, you will want to cry after you ult to go in and they just stun you and wait it out.
In a team fight your goal is to
I) kill the enemy carry
II) survive by killing your target.
never be the main engage go in after someone else has initiated the fight an most of the cc is blown.
1) always use your 2, it has deceptively high damage and sustain especially when you have 3 ichival stacks and the power buff from your 3.
II) the heal from your 1 is huge use it to dodge abilities while getting a nice heal, it's usually what makes or breaks a 1v1 and it's very nice tool for baiting.
III) don't always focus your target. It's a priority and you should definitely be ganking your target. But if your targets a tank just don't even bother with it in a team fight, the dps you can put out on the squishys is worth to much for you to tunnel on their warrior or guardian.
IV) don't blow your combo early, kali has 1 jump on a long cd and stun on a long cd, most enemy dashes are on a shorter cd so have your lanes blow the enemy dash right before you hank so you can get on the enemy and stick to them.
V) your ultimate is the most broken **** ever. That being said use it for the 5 seconds of immunity it gives you not for damage never ever use it for damage.
VI) ultimate timing is the difference between a good kali player and a great kali player you want to use it at the last possible moment to get as much out of it as humanly possible. THERE IS A DELAY ON IT THOUGH. so be very careful and time your engages well.
V) Kali ult let's you fountain dive and really do whatever your hearts desire happens to be as long as your beads are up.
VI) kali combo is jump ---> stun ----> 2
