Hello there! *Waves*
I decided to make this build for two reasons. One: Nu Wa is one of my favorite Gods to play in Smite. Two: There are like no recent guides on her and I believe she deserves more acknowledgement.
I hope you enjoy my build and I hope I explain it well enough. If anything comment and let me know what needs more explaining.
*Please note I don't particularly play ranked. I don't know how useful this will be in ranked.
**I'm not great at making this look pretty so sorrynotsorry.
PROS
-High Burst Potential
-Global Ult
-Good Lane Potential
-Good Split Pusher
CONS
-Minions Fall Off
-No Real Escape
In this section I will be giving an explanation on why I level the skills in the order I do and their uses for me when playing Nu Wa.

Skill Leveling:
-Skill priority goes from minions to shining metal to fog. Grab your ult at every chance you get.
-Reason behind grabbing minions first is for the lane pushing phase and grabbing jungle camps. Early game they do a sizable amount of damage and if used at the right time, are useful for pushing back your opposing mid laner. They are extra minions for them to have to clear meaning they will most likely need to use just a bit more mana to get rid of them. As you approach mid to late game their use is more towards pushing towers.
-Early game lane pushing comes down to two skills in order to clear the wave. Use your Shining Metal straight through the wave then use your fog. Against wave clearing gods such as Isis, this is an effective method because it will force her to wait until you finish your combo before she can use her wave clear and it will give you a slight edge. After both wave clears are used drop your minions. They will help your wave push against the enemy wave due to your wave outnumbering theirs. As you approach mid to late game this combo becomes much stronger and more useful and the need for the minions begins to fade but is still useful.
-Your ult serves two functions: 1, getting a kill on your lane if they run too far and are low enough health or killing an allies lane opponent. 2, it is your only real escape and even then it can get you killed as they can see where you'll land.
-When it comes to escaping with Nu Wa you have two options. Your fog or your ult. As previously stated the ult is probably the best form of an escape for her for 2 reasons. 1, it damages everyone on the enemy team which can give your allies some support in their lanes. 2, it gives your entire team vision on the enemy team and will help any other lanes see if a gank is incoming. When it comes to your fog it is all a matter of juking your opponent and outsmarting them. When I use my fog to escape I through it parallel to a wall and in a way that it'll pass by an opening into the jungle. Each time I do this I make a decision to either follow it all the way to my tower or take a quick turn out and into the jungle. Make sure to change it up often as this will get old fast and the enemy team will start to pick up on this.
*For information on the items just mouse over it. This part is specifically on how they work with Nu Wa's kit.*
-Vampiric Shroud is always a good start for any mage in mid lane. The active benefits and the passive benefits are both excellent for the early laning phase. Grabbing a lost artifact is also good more for the mp5 it gives. Combine this with the Vampiric Shroud you start with 10 mp5 added to her base mp5 which means a lot to mages in the early game. Grabbing two multi potions helps keep her health and mana up early on. With the other two items you have, mana shouldn't be in short supply as opposed to your opponent. Your health will be needed more than your mana and multi potions give enough to keep you going early game.
-After a while you want to rush into Shoes of Focus. This will give you early cooldowns and allow for better movement for grabbing lane experience/gold, mid harpies, and back camps. With the late season 2 change on these boots it also provides 250 more mana which will allow for more skill usage without running out of mana as fast. After boots of focus you can choose to go into 1 of 3 items. Either rush Chronos Pendant for max cdr and more mp5 or Warlock's Sash for more health or Book of Toth for more mana. Personally I rush Chronos for the mp5 and early max cdr to really allow me to poke out the enemy mid laner and keep my mana in a decent spot.
-If you rushed into Chronos I would suggest rushing Warlock's because it takes 100 stacks to be useful and it will also benefit her minions as their health is increased by 20% of Nu Wa's max health. If you rushed into Warlock's I would suggest Book of Toth next to get both stacking items out of the way unless you want to grab a Bancroft's Talon, in which case I would suggest rushing into Chronos.
*Choosing not to grab Warlock's Sash in this build should very much still be viable if you can land your abilities. If you have trouble doing so I would suggest the Warlock's Sash heavily as it does give health and magical power.
-Grabbing a Bancroft's Talon is, in my opinion, a bit more useful when you combine it with Warlock's Sash. While it will take a bit longer for your health to dwindle and for you to gain that 1 power per 1% health lost, you get a bit more sustain. The more abilities it takes for them to kill you the stronger you'll be as an outcome plus you'll still have a decent amount of health.
*Only grab Bancroft's if you are not taking both Warlock's Sash and Book of Toth.
-As you approach your next item the game is reaching late game. Here are where tower's will have fallen and you will either have to push back or just continue pressuring. Obsidian Shard gives you objective pen. Meaning the 33% penetration it gives in it's passive affects towers, phoenixes, and the titan. This item is very beneficial to Nu Wa as her minions can tank towers and you can just basic attack away and watch as the tower crumbles.
*Nu Wa can split push but you must keep in mind that her escape potential is limited and can lead to your death. Make sure your team is causing enough of a distraction when you attempt a split push.
-Typically you will grab Rod of Tahuti last. On rare occasions, if your fed enough (gold wise), you can grab it earlier on and make your opponents life hell. Grabbing this last will take all the power you've gained through other items and increase it substantially. While 25% on it's own doesn't seem like much, adding 25% of 600 makes the difference.
*On a troll build I have for Athena I can use Rod of Tahuti to get my magical power to break the cap of 900. With this build your magical power sits at around 1.1k with FG and Red buffs active.
-Items alone will give Nu Wa 665 magical power. Add any pots you might get and the red buff and it becomes a substantial amount of magical power.
I am both sorry and not sorry about the length of this guide. I wish I could make it look pretty and shorten it but there were details I felt needed to be added in order to really help newer players.
Things to remember:
-Always use your minions when you go to attack jungle camps as they will soak up a lot of the damage.
-Use minions to push towers both early and late game.
-Keep in mind her escape potential is limited.
-While you will have a high amount of Magical Power, that only comes into affect when you land abilities such as the stun on your minion/shining metal combo. Do not think you are the strongest god around.
-Minions late game become less useful unless you place them right as most gods can kill them quickly late game.
-Actives are your best friends. Choose wisely.
